I had a private event this past weekend and everything was fabulous. From the moment I showed interest Mary Ann worked with me and was always very responsive. The day of the event the staff was extremely attentive and the food was delicous. I received a lot of compliments about the food and everyone found the atmosphere and history of the Vogt House interesting. Would highly recommend.

We hosted a baby shower for 40 people at Banging Gavel. The room was spacious and comfortable. It was set-up exactly as we had requested. The event coordinator, Mary Ann, was pleasant, helpful, and efficient. She was readily available by both text and email and was present at the event to ensure that the day was executed flawlessly. The food was served Buffet style. We selected Brisket, Reuben, and Beef mini sandwiches and 2 Flatbreads. All menu-items were flavorful, hot, and delicious. The serving size per guest was large. The Mimosa Bar remained well-stocked throughout our event. Fruit-skewers and several juices were stocked on the Mimosa Bar. The servers provided attentive and prompt drink service. Table-top drink cards were printed for us that listed the available beverages for our event. We were able to customize our drink offerings when we selected our buffet options. We had guests with Gluten-free and Vegan dietary needs and these special requests were handled perfectly. Our guests raved about this venue. It comes with my highest recommendation!

Not a bad experience, but a bit disappointing. Very nice room and cool old building. Pretty decent menu and food was interesting, but not exceptional. IMO a brewery-affiliated pub should have their beer front and center, but it was really underwhelming. (yes, we tried all of them). Service was efficient, but seemed like it was in the script from corporate. Not in a real hurry to go back.

Always love coming here. Every single thing on the menu is delicious and freshly made. The menu is constantly changing to keep up with seasonal items and to keep things fresh. The cocktails have a reinvented twist on classics. The beers are tasty. The staff here are so nice and attentive. So glad to have this special spot in Tinley.Vegetarian options: A nice selection of vegetarian options.

Awesome place, with a lot of character, really unique with a nice outdoors fire pit, menu is a bit disappointing.
Absolutely love going here. The beer and the food are great. Met a super cute boy here, might marry him. Will be back with him shortly! :)

The female bartender was very good. However, she didn't tell us it would cost an extra $8 for the large ice cube with my husband's scotch. Highway robbery!

Had a fantastic time at The Vogt House by Banging Gavel Brews at a special event. A pre fixe dinner and drink pairing with 6 people. An awesome atmosphere in a building that takes you back to 1865.You can just go there and have a drink at the awesome bar or host an even bigger event. The beer is amazing, and they also have a full bar with very creative drink menu. Nothing they can’t make. The food is absolutely fantastic. Shareable items so order food, order drinks, all night long :)If you have a group of probably up to 12 people whether for fun, or hosting a customer of yours, etc. The chefs table concept is awesome. Or just pop in for a drink, or dinner, or just a game.Summer time they have a really cool beer garden and live music. They have live music inside as well inside all year long.

We recently had a private 5 course dinner at BG and it was honestly on par with Michelin Rated restaurants that I have visited! The food was very unique, full of a variety of flavors and each dish was paired with a custom drink. This team reminded me of the show The Bear where the kitchen team are all very talented and food is crafted with care. Get to BG and you will enjoy your experience!

Trendy new spot with great cocktails and a menu focused on shareable food to drink with. Cant wait for the grand opening with their own brewing!Parking: Parking can be a bit difficult depending on how busy the train station is, but you get a nice walkable downtown around the bar which is great
