My experience at Wood n Hog left much to be desired. While the food itself was undeniably good, the service aspect fell short of expectations. After shelling out $40 for a meal that included tips, baked beans, wings, and caramel cake with sauce on the side, I found myself frustrated by several mishaps. Despite arriving before others, five people who came in after me received their food first, signaling a disorganized system. When I brought this up to the lady with glasses, her attitude was less than accommodating, adding to my frustration. It turned out they had misplaced my ticket, further delaying my order.To make matters worse, when my wings finally arrived, they were smothered in sauce despite my explicit request for it to be on the side. Even after reminding the staff, I was met with dismissive responses and excuses. After enduring a 30-40 minute wait, I finally received my food, only to discover that items were missing from my order.Fed up with the ongoing issues, I expressed my dissatisfaction to the staff member, who only seemed to exacerbate the situation with her defensive attitude. While the food itself was decent, the lack of competent customer service overshadowed the dining experience. It's disappointing to say that it's unlikely I'll be returning to Wood n Hog, as the overall service left much to be desired.

My Dad loved the rib tips that you guys prepared giving him the gristle pieces but the french fries he said why did you switch to these shoe strings and the puffy ones were a lot better he missing them..next time just give him the tips keep the fries because you guys should not cut back on quality and then the price is still the same. Otherwise bring back the old French fries shoe strings are for McDonald's.

I got an order of their fried wings with fries and their hot sauce on the side. The wings were fried perfectly and the sauce was so good on the wings and the fries. I appreciate them throwing in an extra mild sauce.

Very overpriced. Mediocre quality, that I'm pretty sure is just standard grocery fare. Small portions. Weak, sour sauce. Terrible menu. Appalling beverages. Worst customer service I've seen in years - staff will happily let you sit 20 minutes with your food ready on the back counter rather than call you to be served if it would mean interrupting their socializing. Go to Lil porgies or hickory river for way better at similar price.
We went to the restaurant on a weeknight when they had only a handful of other customers and ordered "to go" at the counter. Our jumbo rib tips were just a waste of money. More than 1/3rd of the meat was inedible fat and gristle. I'm being kind at the 1/3rd estimate. The turkey was very good but they do not put BBQ sauce on the meat. They put fries on top of the meat and then put ALL of the sauce on the fries. Had we known this, we would have declined the fries. The sauce is very good but, again, useless when you have to swab the fries to get it on your choice of meat.The baked beans were good and made soft the way I like them, but they are clearly from a can. My wife loved the cornbread so I gave her mine after two bites because I don't think it had any cornmeal in it. It was just a dense yellow cake that tasted like dessert. I've been fortunate to have BBQ and cornbread from every state in the south. This was very disappointing.

We're from out of town and wanted to find a local place. The food was fine...fish was pretty good but the rib tips were greasy and gristly in too many places. But this is the first BBQ restaurant I've ever seen where you have to pay extra for BBQ sauce. How does that happen?
