Charlie’s food is good but the service sucks. The guy hamil is really rude. I honestly felt that he is being racially prejudice towards me for looking Hispanic. I was just looking at the menu and he kept yelling at me to order with the cashier. When other customers stopped at the same spot I was he greeted them nicely. I for sure will never ever visit Charlie’s location at the hawthorn mall in Vernonhills again. He needs some customer service training especially having a business. I rated 1 star but it’s in my view zero stars. My money is worth the same as other customers!!!

I drive an hour to get to this location because of the very friendly person who works there. Hamdi is the best! Remembers orders and is always humble and kind. He makes everyone feel welcomed and the sandwich’s are made w. Love and care. It’s not sloppy and it taste great!
The cheesesteak was great, as were the fries. The veggies were fresh and the fries were crispy and had a good size to them.

The staff member was very rude and had snarky remarks to a question. I also don't trust the food because he didn't wear a hairnet or hat. Wasnt wearing gloves either. Management was very unprofessional. Do not eat here. Pick another place in the mall. Bad service and unclean food.

Had their fries (1st timer) since McDonald's left the mall in Vernon Hills. The ? were hot and thick not like McDonald's skinny. Will definitely go back. :)

Delicious cheesesteaks and fry options. Strawberry lemonade is amazing! I always get a large cheesesteak with everything but mayo with ultimate fries. Always hits the spot! And my kiddos love the kids meals!

I've been to a few Charley's over the years and they are reliably good. This location has some of the friendliest staff, too. They're one of the last remaining restaurants at the mall, but that's just lucky for us.
