we had a great server, unfortunately, we ordered after a larger table. We had to wait a very long time for our food and the order was incorrect. That being said the food was tasty, but really expensive I don't think it's a good value the wine was delicious but again $18 -22 for a glass of wine was more than I wanted to spend. I would not consider this a special occasion restaurant, but the prices certainly won't allow me to come back.

Amazing food. Amazing experience. Great wine list. Danny, the owner, is the best. Cannot wait to be regulars at their new location. One of the best restaurants on the North Shore for sure.

Food was amazing, atmosphere was great. Live music and even has a visit from some old barbershop style singers for 2-3 songs. Service was a bit slow, they seemed to be light staffed.

They serve consistently good food paired with interesting and delicious wines. Not inexpensive, but it is more like dining in a city restaurant. For a small place in a strip shopping center they are doing something right to have been around for a long time.

The meal was extraordinary. Everything was cooked to perfection. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. We look forward to coming back. We don't usually write recommendations, but our experience was fabulous.

Food is excellent. The brie fondue with toasted pretzel bites was amazing. Wine list is extensive. Lots of beer choices. Only negative was the service. We had to flag him down and ask for anything we wanted and there was only one other table of diners.

Too expensive, big time. And I hate restaurants that don't give you a menu but a QR code. It was the only way to view a menu. It made sense during Covid but no longer. I don't go to dinner with friends to have everyone forced to stare at their phones. I want to see and explore my options, easily. Offer both options. The food was good, but we don't go back.

Delicious from beginning to end. Gourmet food tucked in the strip mall. Must try.

We had been to Nirvana many times in the past, but have not visited in a while. We noticed one of our favorite appetizers, the short rib quesadilla, was no longer on the menu. That was a disappointment. We also noticed an increase in the prices. I understand owners have to keep up with inflation and typically, I don't even mention it, but this was one of the most expensive restaurants I have been to in the suburbs in a while. That being said, the food was very good and service was attentive. It was a quiet Saturday evening with not many tables filled so it was nice to be able to sit and enjoy ourselves. The live music is a great touch as well.

The wine list is curated by the owner, Danny, who is also a sommelier. His wine list has wonderful choices that reflect his broad palate. The food is exceptional. Last night I had an osso buco than ranks with the best Italian restaurants in Chicago. It's a wonderful restaurant and Danny and his staff are friendly and always interested in knowing their customers.

This was an ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC meal! From the wine to the appetizer to the entree, and then the dessert! Just WONDERFUL! The food presentation was beautiful - the taste of the food was sublime! A rare gem! Many compliments to the Chef! Our server was suburb! I can't remember a time that I enjoyed a meal as much as this one!

Very overpriced for quality of food, $50 for beef tenderloin that wax overcooked and tough. The mussels were awful. I could do without the guitar player to small a venue for that.

This is a hidden gem. Great menu and wine selection. Open during odd hours so easy to give it a try.

Small restaurant in a strip mall. Bar area as well as tables. Staff are very friendly and very knowledgeable about food. There are nightly specials - which is lovely. Wine list is very stilted and honestly over-priced. They offer wine flights. A few good beers available... in cans. Portions are modest. Food is well presented. We have been there a couple of times. It's worth a visit to see if it's your cup of tea (so to speak).
