The service was nice but the food seemed skimpy, really no type of meat in the enchiladas and it tasted really " basic ". Somewhere I most likely would not revisit..

On our initial visit to this restaurant, my family and I had some reservations about the food. Much to our pleasant surprise, we all found it to be quite delightful.Restaurant cleanliness standpoint it is decent and ambiance is great. In terms of service efficiency, having one person manage guest greetings and food orders simultaneously might cause congestion during peak periods.

Just love this place for being straight forward, fair priced and good food. If one is not expecting fancy, than one can leave entirely happy. Certainly worth the price.

It's not the worst place for Mexican in the area, but Uncle Julios is close by and much better, or if you roll in to Libertyville, EVERY SINGLE Mexican restaurant is MUCH better than this one.

Ordered the Taco Bar for some business people that were in town for the week at my job. It was AMAZING. We had 10 people to feed and there was so much left over that our staff was able to eat as well. Everyone was 100% satisfied! Our Taco Bar included Chicken, Beef, Rice, Beans, Lettuce, Salsa, Cheese, Tomatoes, Hard shells, Soft shells, and chips. It came with plates and utensils along with serving tongues and serving spoons. And it was the cheaper of the packages I had found at other restaurants. All the other packages i found also didnt include rice and beans but this one did. This was just Perfect all around, bravo

I ordered out so I can't really rate the in restaurant stuff, and they had good enchiladas. The thing I cannot let slide though is the "Tres Leches". It was a DRY white yellow cake with whipped cream and a sliced up strawberry. Not just dry by tres leches standards, but dry for a cake in general. Unacceptable for a Mexican restaurant to charge 12 bucks for a tres leches that isn't even close to a tres leches.

The staff were super nice and the food was amazing! I took my friend who was visiting from out of state and he was super surprised because On the Border had shut down in California so he didn't know they still had locations here in IL. The manager was so nice and the staff and service was amazing! 10/10 recommend going with friends or family!
