I went in the drive thru so I can't say anything about the atmosphere. What I can say is that Portillos always had good food; I get hot dogs w/ everything on them (no peppers) and cheese fries. The line moved pretty quick and the workers were friendly. I would go again

Italian beef was great along with the onion rings others in my party had the pasta and they said that was great also can't wait til they come to Des Moines Or surrounding metro area.

2.5/5 I feel cheated by the cost.I stopped by for lunch to grab a alfredo pasta with chicken to go. It cost about $17.00+ after tax.I was surprised how fast I got the food, after trying to eat it, it made sense.There was a lot of pasta, a plus. But barely any alfredo sauce. I tried digging to the bottom only to find nothing. Most of my pasta was barely covered in sauce. It's like they just ran it though a bowl of alfredo sauce and packed my food. They really need to add more alfredo sauce with the rest of the pasta. That's why it's called alfredo pasta. Not pasta dipped in alfredo sauce.The chicken was dry, more dryer than a chicken breast should be. It didn't help at all that the side if bread they gave me was pretty dry and hard to chew.Service was great.Great atmosphere. I usually love their hotdogs and Italian Beef. But I guess I'll avoid the pastas going forward.
The food here is always amazing. The staff is so friendly. Drive thru lines are quick and efficient. Dining inside is always a good time. They forgot small something in our order one time and we noticed it when we got home so we called and they gave us multiple free meals to make up for it. They always go above and beyond to make sure their customers and happy.

Make sure you ALWAYS check your bag before you leave. I have asked twice now if everything is in the bag without checking it because I rely on the employees to do their job, and I was missing something both times. The lady was too busy talking to make sure I had everything.
