Today 3/1/24 we ordered 12 tacos from Briza Azul for pickup on two separate orders. I get to Briza Azul I pay for the two receipts and as I’m waiting for my food I noticed they charged “gratuity/tip” on both receipts without us giving them permission! I asked “Erika” which is the one who helped me out and whose name is on the receipt, why are you charging us gratuity on a takeout order? She simply says “I don’t know, that’s how the “owner” does it here” I told her that’s not right what you guys are doing, you’re robbing people without them knowing! I asked for the owners name which she says his name is “Lorenzo” and I told her I was going to write a review and she offered to give me the money back that they took from me without permission! Make sure you check your receipts when you go here! Who knows how long they’ve been getting away with robbing people! Also from what I know sales tax in Waukegan is about 8.5% and I would know cause I work at a local business. Somehow they are charging 12% sales tax here doesn’t make any sense!

i loveeee briza azul it’s one of my favorite spots in waukegan !! the food is a banger and the waitresses are so nice ! my fav are the shrimp tacos ? soo yummy and i’m not a huge fan of horchata but theirs? i’d chug a gallon and ask for seconds ! defo a must try 10/10

every bite of food from here is like it was handmade and blessed by jesus himself. if i could eat here everyday for the rest of my life i would. i remember the very first time i had the shrimp pasta, it was so good i felt like i had to scream about my love for it from the rooftops. it was so good my cat even stole a piece of shrimp from me and growled when i tried to take it away... if you eat here, know that your life will be permanently altered. there will be no going back. you'll never be able to eat the same because all you'll think is "hm...its not as good as briza azul..."

We went there in the afternoon sat at a booth all the way in the corner when my husband sees a roach on the wood part attached to the booth we asked for the bill and left never WILL I eat here

Food was really good, but service was horrible. Didn’t get drinks in a timely manner, waitress barely came to check on us and it was a slow night. They also force a tip on the check even though it says “Suggested tip”. Overall it was a horrible first experience, even though the food is good, the service really sucks. I would NOT recommend to come here.

Great seafood and micheladas. We loved the spiciness of the green salsa that was complementary!! Waitress was friendly and kind enough to help us decide on what to get. Sad that the patio area was not opened; the waitress said it was due to alcohol license. The bar area was pretty!

The churrasco was excellent!! The meat was prime and very well seasoned!!! The service was very good.. they serve s lot of dudes which i did eat as i was there fir the meats!
