We happened into this excellent bar/restaurant on our vacation in 2021. Service and food was excellent. So much so--we did return on a second trip but wasn't open. Planning to visit again in two weeks. Mushrooms--truly "colossal" and very tasty. Onion rings great. I can't remember our sandwiches but do remember we were impressed with the food quality and taste!
Been there several times food is always wonderful..Service is the guy that owns it yeah he seems a little bit busy always working by himself. could it be better yeah but it's a small town small business not enough for two people to work that's for sure.

Stopped in after a long day at Starved Rock, and my group and I were starved! So glad we chose this location, small town business, busy but not too busy, owner run doing lots of the work and maintaining professional courtesy despite constant demands. Two people working, so if you're not in a hurry no big deal, and it's totally worth the wait! We enjoyed every bit of our visit here, and the food was absolutely amazing!
