Not Insane
We were visiting family in the Chicago area and they love this restaurant. The food wasn't bad but a couple of odd things happened. First, my coffee cup had lipstick on the rim. Second, when I looked over at the coffee cup my friend had just been given it looked like one that had already had coffee in it because there were a bit of coffee around the outside of the rim and somebody had like just rinsed it out or something. I'm old and healthy and I can take it so it's not that big a deal but it was just kind of weird.

The food was just okay, the portions are big and I think that justifies the high prices. The biggest surprise for me is the added 20% Tip whether you like the service or not. I understand if it was a big group of people dining , but it was only a family of 5.

Me and my husband stopped here after we got our dilated eye exams, so we had some time to kill. The parking lot was packed, but the dining room was spacious and we had no problem getting seated. Decided to order the 40-minute apple pancake. Additionally, we split a breakfast burrito during the wait. The food here is top quality!!! Couldn't believe the portion sizes, the fresh ingredients, and the incredible taste. We will definitely be coming back here again in the future! I drive past Egg Yolk on my way to work, and it's going to be hard to resist this place now :)

The service was really good, nothing was too long or too soon. The food was really good, it was hot and not cold. The restaurant itself is a really nice place. And all in all I just had a really good experience with this place. I would highly recommend it.
we ordered our simple food- cheese burger and chicken Caesar salad and waited one hour and twenty minutes . when we spoke with the owners they were sorry. when we were done eating we asked the waitress for our bill and she said it was ok the owners comped it so we gave the waitress a double tip. when we began to leave the owners said no we had to pay, the just gave us one soda. Really? Never going back!!
