I love the shrimp, but I had frog legs. Because it was National frog leg day on 2/29/24. The frog's legs were delicious. The woman at the counter has no customer service skills, and she should not interact with customers. She was very rude. I've been buying food the Lawerence's store on 21st and Canal for over 50 years, and I never had the misfortune to deal with such an ignorant person in their employment. The service was great, friendly service offering great suggestions to eat. Quiet little restaurant, not a lot of seating. The food was a slight disappointment. It was short on flavor. The breading on the okra would be better on the fish Or at least lemon pepper would be a good addition to their menu Price was pretty good not to high

Fast service. Food was cooked perfectly. The quality of the shrimp and catfish were just ok. Both seemed freezer burned and the catfish had a strong ammonia scent commonly associated with large food storage warehouse freezers or spoilage. Maybe just a bad order. I will try them again because they were the best fried seafood in Chicago. I hope they still are
