On the way home I decided that I wanted something different for a change, so I decided to grab a bite of Jerk Chicken.... The place that came to mind was The Jungle Plate , Ordered a simple Jerk Chicken Dinner Dark with Yams and Cabbage.. When I opened the very nicely packaged to go package, I was impressed with the taste and presentation.. I will recommend this place if you're in the area for some Jerk Chicken!
My wife and I really enjoyed the food at The Jungle Plate. I ordered the Jollof meal with the jungle marinade chicken, and it was a perfect amount of heat in the flavorful spice. The rice stood out with its own flavor that accompanied the meat and grilled pepper/onions nicely. I love a jollof and chicken plate that comes with a salad and side of peppers and onions. The jollof and chicken is different from other versions I’ve had, but definitely delicious! Fried plantains and fried yams were perfect. Love the murals, makes it so inviting inside. Hubby said the goat was delicious with a nice kick.
