All the best things about "hole in the wall" - we received prompt service, the food (taste) was great and the amount we were served was worth every penny. A true shame I live over 400 miles away and will most likely never eat here again. 100% recommend!!

I think it's 1 of the last Czechoslovakian food places left. So sad to see the rest of them close, but I am grateful that they are carrying on traditional bohemian cooking!Wheelchair accessibility: Very tight. Not sure you would be comfortable but you can get in

Went to Westchester Inn, First time here, called in a food order. The young lady was really very rude. I've worked in restaurants for years and didn't know the gravy here came on the side. I thanked her for conveying this to me since I've never been here & I apologize if I'm inconveniencing her with my call as she kept rushing me like she couldn't be bothered. I get to the restaurant and nobody is in there, the server was very nice and I tipped her generously and the young lady was there alsi. I told her she was very rude, she said I kept repeating myself on the phone and I told her no matter how delicious the food might be, the entire experience was ruined since she was the first point of contact. She said whatever, if you're having a bad day don't take it out on me. And there you go. Girl has alot to learn about the restaurant biz

The atmosphere is more like a top level Diner with some of the best food I've eaten since I've come back from California. And the people serving and the reception people are out of this world. Always smiling all the food was always hot right from the kitchen and we had 15 people. The accommodated us and even let us bring in a birthday cake for my mother's 95th birthday. Give this place a chance you'll love the food and you'll enjoy the people and you'll go back because I'll be going back

I want to give 0 stars! For discriminating against a special needs child. How dare you! Shame on your staff and management. It is not ok to refuse service or a meal to a family because of their special needs child. There are Laws against this. We are a large community of mothers, fathers, grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc.. that raise our voice for kids. Shame on you.SOMETIMES OUR SPECIAL NEEDS CHILD WILL ABSOLUTELY NOT EAT ANYTHING OTHER THEN A SPECIFIC FOOD BECAUSE OF SENSORY DISORDERS! SO SOME SPECIAL NEEDS CHILDREN WILL NOT EAT CHICKEN NUGGETS FROM JUST ANYWHERE. MY SPECIAL NEEDS CHILD WILL ONLY EAT A CERTAIN NOODLE. WE HAVE ALWAYS BEEN ABLE TO BRING HIS NOODLES ANY WHERE WE GO. WE HAVE NOT HAD TO DEAL WITH SUCH IGNORANCE. ITS A SHAME THAT YOU REFUSED HER SPECIAL NEEDS CHILD TO ENJOY HER MEAL WHILE HER MOTHER AND GRANDMOTHER ENJOYED THEIRS. SO IF YOU HAVE A SPECIAL NEEDS CHILD WHO IS SPECIFIC ABOUT THEIR FOOD THIS IS NOT THE PLACE TO GO. WE AS PARENTS WHO HAVE TO DEAL WITH OUR SPECIAL NEEDS CHILD SHOULD BE ABLE TO GO OUT AND ENJOY A MEAL WITHOUT HAVING TO WORRY. THEY WERE GOING TO BUY 3 ENTREES! BUT THIS IS THE WORLD WE LIVE IN.....GREED OVER EPATHY. SHAME ON YOU FOR DISCRIMINATING AGAINST OUR CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL NEEDS.

This food had no favor, maybe due to the clientele which we're older seniors, large menu, prices were reasonable, the portions are large, but the dishes were not seasoned.

SHAME ON YOU Westchester Inn!!I have to say I am beyond disgusted!!! My mom, my 8yo Autistic daughter and myself went to Westchester Inn for lunch. My daughter being autistic has a lot of feeding issues. In the past THERE and many other places, we have brought her own food in. Unfortunately, those that have Autisum have issues with textures, tastes, swallowing/feeding sensitivity. She is one of them that has it all. So her food choices are very limited! We walked in and as we were getting seated, a loud voice from across the restaurant yelled. “Hey, you can’t bring outside food in.” . I turned around and saw a waitress yelling this, but was embarrassed because at this point the whole restaurant was looking at us. The restaurant was half full at this time. We sat down and immediately had 3 employees bombard our table. They were talking extremely loud, saying how this is not allowed and we need to leave the restaurant or remove the outside food. I was trying to explain to them that my daughter physically cannot eat what is served at the restaurant, and that we are planning on buying two meals and an extra meal to go home and an extra soup to go home. The waitress said “we have chicken nuggets, all kids eat that, but this you will it do this in our restaurant.” My daughter at this time started to cry from the shock of 3 employees talking so loudly and she clearly understands what they are saying about her. So, we got up and started to left the restaurant; a few of the other tables asked the waitresses why this was such a big deal? One table even decided they were not going to stay for lunch. When we got outside my heart literally broke because my daughter asked me with tears in her eyes why they were so mean to us and why we had to leave the restaurant? How do you explain to your eight-year-old daughter that she is different from others and that she is being discriminated because of it? She told me repeatedly she was sorry and I immediately explained to her this was not her fault that some people in the world are just cruel. IT IS REALLY SAD AND HEARTBREAKING THAT AN 8yo NEEDS TO APOLOGIZE FOR GROWN PEOPLES ACTIONS AND WRONG DOING!!! She thought she did something wrong. ?Immediately, and later on that night, the mama bear was still stewing, so I called and asked for a phone number to the owners. I was told that there was no such number and that I can write an email. I wanted to explain the situation and try to educate and make it right with the restaurant before I posted something publicly. Instead of getting a response back from the owners the manager of the restaurant who is a young lady answered my emails. We continued going back-and-forth. I did send her the ADA law which States those with a disability whether it’s an allergic or a physical disability shall be granted the request of bringing their own food into an establishment; if the establishment cannot meet the disability needs. She replied back, how that bringing in the outside food was causing them a lack in their revenue, disrupting their ambience in the restaurant, and this is their policy, and it is what it is. I asked again if we can talk to the owners rather than her, and she replied, the owners, don’t take care of restaurant issues like this. All I have to say is SHAME ON YOU WESTCHESTER INN. And one day, I pray you are never faced with a circumstance like this of your own because the way you treated an eight-year-old little girl with a disability that can’t control is absolutely disgusting!

Food described as Bohemian, Hungarian. Service was excellent, I would give a 3.5. I was worried if I would be able to taste the flavors because my Sinuses were draining so bad. But everything that I had was satisfying. Menu options pork, chicken, beef, and seafood options simple. I ordered stuffed peppers but It seems like I had stuffed cabbage either way I didn't mind as I like both. My food wasn't really hot but it wasn't warm. The dumplings were good. The cucumber salad was yummy. I think if I return I may try goulash. Coffee...was nice and balanced. Dessert struessel was tasty with a few nice options. Ambiance felt like visiting a family restaurant. Everyone was so kind and the service quick. Parking is plentiful as it's in a mall like area.
