I'd go back 4a beer & to watch a game at the bar. The chili was ok to taste. However, I got really sick within an hour. Eeek. I asked the other 2 people I was with & same issue.They are cash only.

Exactly what I was looking for ? The service went above and beyond on a cold winter night. The place was packed.Vegetarian options: They have a grilled cheese sandwich, and the cheese is pretty good quality. I topped it with onions and jalapenos and it was delish. I appreciate the vegetarian recommendation. Chili is not vegetarian, but the service went above and beyond.

Good local neighborhood vibes, good chili and good service. Nothing fancy, we just say at the bar and enjoyed a nice bowl of chili with all the usual fixins (onion, oyster crackers, cheese). Served with a selection of hot sauces. Chili was tasty and the atmosphere was friendly, we'll definitely be back!Parking: Parking lot in the back!

I've been there a few times for chili and beers - and also take-out chili. The chili is good. Used to go to the original on 18th st in the city. When I'm in the Westmont area, this place is on my list. Don't expect a 5 star restaurant, it's a bar with good chili. A good place to chill!

I remember as a kid, my Mom loved 18th & Damen, and mostly I remember Forest Park location, both were very good.***Unfortunately, about 20 years ago I got a large bucket of their chili for a big family dinner from the Westmont location, and it was terrible; the consistency was watery and it tasted like there was soap in it; I've never gone back~?

I walked in to order 3 quarts of chili. The owner gave me a hard time because I did not pre-order. She was impatient and not very hospitable. She seemed annoyed that I even giving her some business. The chili was more like soup. Not sure I would go back again. Left with a bad taste. Not a positive experience.

Everything about this place is exactly as it appears. It's a small place. The vibes inside are perfect. The atmosphere is perfect if you're coming in to hang out and have a good time. This is the best chili I've ever had. Yes, it's better than the one your mom makes. The service is wonderful. We had a small "for here" order and a large "to-go" order and everything was taken care of perfectly.

Really wanted to enjoy this place as it’s close to home and who doesn’t love a good bowl of chili? Sadly the good chili part is lacking, the chili is a soupy consistency with not many beans and not hearty in the least bit. It very much seemed like it was just watered down refried beans, a can of tomatoes, ground beef and A LOT of water, and zero seasonings or spices.
