As a Taiwanese, I have to say, they provide pretty authentic Taiwanese meals! The lady in the front desk is so kind and friendly.

Really cheap, nice size potions, taste good for a food court stall. Only tried chicken lollipop and hot n sour soup. I should have got a spicy beef noodle soup. Since this is a Taiwanese mall.

This is real home cooked Chinese food! Very simple old school stall in a food court but don’t let the surroundings fool you. This place is worth the 45 min drive for me. Best Chinese food in Chicago imo. LOVE the scallion pancakes. Everything tastes

The quality of food will depend which food stall you visit in this food court but most are good. There is a grocery store right next door if you like cooking your own food. The atmosphere improves if you bring your own friends.

Got the beef noodle soup, stir fried noodles with chicken, and stinky tofu. Stinky tofu was excellent — stinky, fresh, and really good pickled veg on top. The beef noodle soup did NOT skimp on the meat. Really good pieces of meat that had just enough tendon. Instead of baby bok choy, there was Napa cabbage and no pickled mustard greens, which was a huge miss for me. Noodle amount ok. The stir fried noodles tasted ok but were really oily and a little too salty. Chicken portion was solid though. Seating was clean (and there was a guy cleaning up after people) and shockingly not busy for a Sunday at noon. Really glad I came to try this place though.

Delicious Taiwanese food. Recommend night-market-style stinky tofu, intestine noodle soup, and oyster pancake. For less adventurous eaters, many options as well. Run by an older couple whom I admire and hope are doing well.

I usually get the same thing because it tastes so good, but I have taken numerous people to this place and all appreciate the meal. Spicy or not, they offer a good variety of traditional Asian fare. I highly recommend.

I took the long Labor Day weekend to visit one of my favorite places and get my Taiwanese street food fix. Oriental Food House is the only place I go for ba wan (pork pie). Come think of it, I don't know any other place has them. Ba wan is the one of the most common street foods in Taiwan. It is made with rice or potato starch dough and usually filled with pork, mushrooms, and bamboo shoots, kept warm in oil, and served with dipping sauce. I love the chewiness of the dough. Let me tell you, they don't skim on the filling. It was absolute perfection and brought back some fond childhood memories. I also ordered Chinese eggplant in garlic sauce, stinky tofu, family style tofu and beef chow fun for my family on this visit. Everyone raved the deliciousness of the dishes. Oriental Food House also serves authentic Chinese dishes. For a small stall in a food court, they are pretty legit. Give it a try. You'd be glad you did!

Solid, unspectacular, very quick service and very fair prices for the amount of food that appeared on my plate. Was it great? I don't think so. Would I go back? I would, mainly to try the seafood here since the name officially is Oriental Seafood House, and I had a spicy beef lunch deal. The woman taking orders was very friendly!

Hidden gem. Awesome beef noodle soup. Best stinky tofu in Illinois. "Red tofu soup" aka pork blood soup is very refreshing on a cold day. Very very good!
