We had a reservation for 3:45pm. The entire group is there by 3:30pm. The hostess tell us that we will not be seated on time due to their shift change. The estimated time range she gave us: 4:15pm - 4:30pm. How can a business that has been operating for a SIGNIFICANT amount of time not master thier shift change process? If a customer comes in late or without thier group, they definitely suffer a stiff penalty of no service. Yet the establishment doesn't even offer an apology for those patrons who are inconvenienced due to the actions of the restaurant.

My son and I came here for the shrimp and grits , we ordered at 2:35 pm , we were told that they ran out of grits and they also said they don’t serve them after 3pm but it was 2:35pm . My son was very disappointed he was forced to order a steak. This was his first time dining here so it left a bad impression. My son said “ he would not be returning. We drove a hour to get there. I hope they organize their selection better. Did not enjoy our dining experience.

I want to start by saying previously to this visit we loved pappadeaux. My husband and I will often make the 2 hour drive to visit and get the shrimp and grits. When we arrive for dinner and went to order we were told they no longer will do shrimp and grits after 3pm. I am very disappointed as this was not posted on the site when we made our reservation and we only come for that meal. The server had zero sympathy and was kinda rude when we expressed how disappointed we were. This will be the last time going to pappadeaux. It is no longer the restaurant we used to go to.

Everything was seriously so amazing about this place! Especially as it was all of our first time here. We were able to sit out on the patio, and had Devin as our server— one of the best servers we've ever had. There were a variety of cocktails and wine; I tried the Garden of Eden twice and it was delicious. For appetizers, we tried the fried calamari, mozzarella bites, and fried alligator. The alligator is a must try! For dinner, I got the Mardi Gras pasta, and as a new seafood eater it was amazing. Overall the service and atmosphere was perfect! Devin was seriously amazing, and we will be asking to have him serve us again next time!

Pappadeaux is one of my absolute favorite restaurants. I always have to have a swamp thing. My go to dish is the mardi gras pasta but I also enjoy the seafood platters. Which is what I had on this visit. I would usually always get a piece of key lime pie but this time I tried the banana pudding and it was delicious. The service and food and atmosphere was all good. Our server Megan K. was great. She was so accommodating. She paid attention to our request and made our experience wonderful. She even took pictures for my friend and I. The overall experience was really nice. I can't wait to return.
Prices continue to rise and service continues to get worse; not the direction for any business.

Pappadeux should have closed down!! They are a joke, make reservations, just don’t know how to keep them!! Their staff appear to be trained to Lie! The food is good, however, they need to hire more staff!! The manager actually said, “We can’t seat everyone at once because we don’t have enough servers!” Really ?? Now how is this a customer’s problem? Hire enough people!!
