Been coming to Walsh's for a while with dental school friends. Never had a problem until tonight until the lady at the bar, rudely, told us they don't accept out of state ID's. There is a medical professions college minutes from the restaurant that brings in thousands of out of state students. Unfortunate that they turned us away being ignorant to the fact that this college brings in thousands of potential customers. Seems like a terrible business model. Come up with a way to effectively check out-of-state ID's.

Love this place. They have a great vibe and always accommodating. Small local bar that has an awesome corned beef pocket sandwich!

This place sucksssss. Bartender was rude, they don't take out of state IDs, and the atmosphere is just sad. Avoid this shit hole.

THE POCKETS! THE POCKETS! I am not sure how to describe these wonderful and delicious things. They are filled with just about anything you want, served warmed with cheesy goodness! It's a straight up bar so the ambiance is just that. It's a good place to grab a drink, a pocket and watch some sports. The location is sort of interesting and the outside of the place doesn't look like much, but don't let that fool you.

We just had Walsh's takeout for lunch and my burger was cooked wonderfully I like not red in the middle but not burnt and this is a GREAT burger and the 3 guys who had the chili love it. Chicago Clock Company

Hidden gem. Went for lunch and we were quickly seated. The food was very good and service was great. I would go back again.

I hosted a diaper party for my daughter. I invited about 30 people. When I first booked it I told the owner we would be done by a certain time but we were still ordering drinks, and food up until that time, and after. The food didn't come out all at once so people were eating while others looked on. We got rushed out even though we were still ordering, and some didn't even get their food. The lady owner wanted to accommodate her regular customers. We felt snubbed. My money was no good there. The server kept talking about how they needed the tables. The owners never said thank you. They were more annoyed that we were there. Very Clicky place. My daughter lives down the street and someone suggested the food was so good (Eh) and it would be convenient for my daughter since she was pregnant. Wasn't worth be treated that way. Very unprofessional! We will not be back.

Walked in and immediately didn't feel welcome. Bartender refused to accept out of state IDs. Not worth the time to go here.

For awhile I have seen this bar in Westmont and never went in. It looked like it would be a pretty cramped place. Walsh's is a lot bigger than it looks though. Kind of a nowhere location on Naperville Road close to only auto shops and the like. This is probably about as close to a typical sports bar as you can get with no fancy stuff. Came in for a bit to watch the Bears game. It amazingly wasn't that crowded inside. This was a lot bigger than I thought. Has the main bar area. That was packed, but there was a whole other area with a few tables. It's about $5 for a basic cocktail. Whatever and Coke is what to go with. Has basic food. It's about $3 for pretzels. Found out these weren't the baked soft pretzels or even pretzel bites. These were the kind that come in a bag, lol. Basic. These came with mustard at least. Giving it a better rating because of all the crap to look at. It has shit tons of sports memorabilia on the walls, so it's also like a museum. There's some cool old stuff, so take a look in here in spite of the mediocre food and whatever.
