Odd they have a surcharge for food. I feel like most places have priced accordingly and they still can't figure it out? Food has no flavor.

It's a quiet place, clean. The food is a little overpriced but ok.

Their food is amazing. Especially the tacos! Paul the owner is really a cool guy. Been going there for years. Highly recommend this place!

I ordered a chicken gyro . They packed alot on the sandwich but the taste of the chicken was quite bland and so was the tsatziki sauce or however u spell it . Paid $20 for a meal pretty overpriced wish i wouldve just went to nachos down the street . Better flavoring on food . I dont think i will be coming back here and when i asked for a refill they said $1. Um no thank you i can buy a can of coke for that price . After already spending $3 for a medium soda . Who charges for refills nowadays anyways .

I went to this restaurant with family on 11/13 2023. We got outdoor seating and they were able to put tables together and seat us very fast. The service always had smiles on their faces and were all around very pleasant. The view was amazing, right next to the water. There was a bit of a wait for the food (which is expected for the large group we had) but they had live music and just such a great atmosphere. The food was 10/10 meeting and beating all of our expectations. Some dishes were a little pricey but not bad for the amount of food we were given and for the quality of food it was.

Hands down the best Gyro ever! Been coming to Skippers since I was 13 in middle school, I am 40 now! One thing hasn't changed, the quality. Owner takes pride in his menu and business, even when it costs him out of pocket he has never sacrificed quality... I literally just had the Gyro Deluxe and it's the best around period, the Kronos meat and the best tzatziki sauce are honestly unmatched. The combination of freshly cut red and white onion is also unreal! Don't be fooled by the exterior, this place is a classic staple in the neighborhood, thank you for your decades of service you really don't understand how much you mean to this community!

Never coming back, owners has bad attitude. They can't handle when it's busy. Spend your money at pita in next door not here.

Doesn't have access to Wi-Fi & when i asked why not and pointed out it's lunch time and lots of people conduct business especially through zoom meetings...the owner became rude and basically told the cashier to refund my money and leave. Lol. I went nextdoor to Pita Inn where I was able to eat and take a zoom meeting.

Paul’s food is always on point. The Greek salad is simply delicious. Don’t even get me started on the baklava!!!

Been out of Chicago area for a decade, came back and so much changed but NOT these guys! Good to see a familiar face, food still amazing and I introduced my 1yr old to gyros. He loved all the car pictures too. Hes as big a fan of Skippers as I am now, thanks for serving us!Kid-friendliness: Have high chairs and indoor seating area

I was not impressed with anything from this place as these Gyros tasted like totally worse than what's offered at the supermarket. The fries also were not good and the long the line was long aside from that this place looks pretty cool especially in the summer and looks like a traditional hot dog stand on a busy world with outside seating in tables the prices is with inflation are high and the food is not especially good

My Gawd, Decided to try this place out, looks like a 1950s diner, we're so glad we didn't pass on this place, the food was delicious and the menu was stupendous with a great variety of American/Greek/mexican food, very generous portions at very good price, I had the pleasure to try the Greek Combination plate and the was the most flavorful and juicy chicken kabob I ever had, the salad and rice were not plain they were just as packed with flavor, the gyro meat was also great... I've had gyro meat before but this was different, this gyro meat had an extra flavor that I can't explain but it's great, will gladly comeback when I'm in the area, this place is very recommended ? ?
