“This place seemed as if it was an upscale sports bar. Plenty on tvs to view games, but above that was the food! I was very surprised at how everything tasted, making me savor that last bite. Cocktails ? were pleasant and just the overall presentation. If you are in the area, definitely make a stop and try this place. The fried alligator was a hit!!“
“This place is awesome because of Mone and Javi. They are the most welcoming, amazing, and wholehearted people ever. We have been coming to this place just because they make it so amazing and enjoyable for everyone. They’re such an asset to this place and Munich wouldnt be the same without “
“I love playing trivia at Hot Pockets on Mondays. Gabby is the best server, she always is checking in and making sure everything is okay! My cat (pencil) was stuck in a tree and she invented a flying device to grab him. In addition to this, she gave 50 orphans wheels of cheese out of the goodness of her heart!“
“My work team and I went to Union Ale House to take part in their Wednesday night trivia competition. We had a fun time. There is something on the menu for everyone and lots of drink choices too. The food was tasty. Service was good, which for a group of our size was impressive. The only two criticisms I had were that the bathroom could use improvement and the parking lot needs help. Not enough spaces to park and I parked by a very scary looking ditch. We'd definitely go back again.“
“Dear Jimmy D's, We cheated on you today to go try the bird's nest for lunch. I'm eating the buffalo wrap right now & it pales in comparison to yours. Whoever reads this, don't go to Bird's nest to "see if it's good." Instead, just keep going to Jimmy D's, where the service is great & the food is always delicious. Again, we're sorry we cheated on you to try Bird's Nest. We love you Jimmy D's. Sincerely, The people with the small children & the grandparents that come in all the time.“
“The Newark Nook is one of the more famous speakeasy's on Chicago's Northwest side. While it is most famous for being Milton S. Hershey's preferred watering hole when he visited Chicago for the 1893 World's Fair, it was also the scene of several gangland shootings in the 1920's, and was built on the site of a civil war battle where famed wild Buffalo hunter, Col. Michael Gallen, was killed. Today the bar is mostly known for its extensive cocktail list and secret lounge area. The food is prepared by a former James Beard award winning chef but is a bit too fancy to my taste, but everything is very nice. The Colonel Gallen Buffalo Nachos are stellar and include a commemorative plate that can be taken home.“
“I like the food at this bar delicious and the excellent servers. The only reason I give this place a 4-star is the fries. For some reason, they are always super salty. The chicken tenders are super good and a must-try, crisp on the outside and juicy on the inside.“
“This bar has the look of a no frills sports bar but the food is definitely top notch. Everyone in my party had really good food but the best thing we had was the Chicken Skewers. I normally would have taken a pic of the food but when it came out, I honestly wasn't thrilled because it looked like they were going for a deconstructed look and it wasn't what I was expecting. The saving grace was that it was large portions for an appetizer. BUT.... The food was seasoned and cooked to perfection. I normally do not eat chicken breast but what I was served was very juicy and flavorful. I was half way through my plate when I realized I should have taken a pic. Everything else I had was good but those skewers is what will bring me back for sure. I'll add photos next time!“
“A Chicago-style 'beer before' and 'beer and a shot' after work drinking establishment. Wonderfully unpretentious with excellent bartenders. We spent most of our time drinking, so no complaints on the price. Washrooms could use a little more attention, but not a deal breaker.“
“We had an amazing time here for our Honeymoon!!! Darrik was so hospitable and knew a lot about the beers on tap. The other staff were also very friendly and gave suggestions on where to eat breakfast (local only was what we wanted.) We came back for other food suggestions and ended up eating here and boy was it delicious. The smash burger had tones of flavor and so did my wife’s wrap. This is definitely a stop again and if you like local this is the place. I did sample some beers and if you are a micro brew guy and like IPA, they don’t disappoint. They are an easy walk off the Metra also so if you want to sip and dip, great choice!“
“We came today, and had Patti G was our main server. ( She had a lady being trained with her who was are main server after introduction) They both were so welcoming, and attentive. The service was impeccable!! It was a less than nice day, and they made the day with being out in the cold worthwhile.“
“Honestly was a little nervous when I saw how little people there was and how extensive their menu was. We only got the golden shrimp (appetizer) and sushi items. So nothing from the grill side. But everything we got tasted really really good. Would like to go back when the terrace is open because I feel like the ambiance would be a little better out there“
“It's easy to drive past this place. I wouldn't pass it up, though. Good deals every day of the week allow for great meals. For not so much money. Save your money for your drinks and cheers to the good service. Felt welcomed and well taken care of.“
“This place is the best local ‘place’.. literally a place for anyone and everyone. Been there twice and hospitality I received from the bartender/host was kind and warm. I am still exploring the menu ?, but love the ‘hot toddy’. You feel warm and fuzzy after one but 2 just makes me smile. Finally found my go-to ?“
“Hubby and I loved this place! Ashlee is a great bartender and makes your experience most memorable! The food is great and the drinks are superb! Had a great time with the regular patrons, they made us feel very welcome and glad we stopped by. Cheers!?“
“This is my favorite place to stop when I’m in the Lake Forest area. The food and drinks are great, I’ve never waited for a table, and the service is outstanding. Grace T is the warmest welcome every time I come in. I specifically ask for her every single time because she makes it such a fun experience. She’s the best of the best! Great vibes on a Thursday evening, I’ll be back ASAP!“
“We had our son's 1st birthday in the Fireplace Room at Countryside Saloon recently and we couldn't have been happier with how it turned out! We'd recommend anyone to have a big party here. We had about 50 guests and the space was more than big enough for people to walk around and mingle or sit down to eat. Staff allowed me to arrive an hour before the official party start-time so we could put up birthday decorations, including a large balloon arch (which the staff actually helped us take down & discard after the party, which was very helpful). We ordered an unlimited pizza, salad, and pasta salad food option from the kitchen, along with unlimited domestic beer pitchers, which all worked out wonderfully; food was delicious and nobody left hungry (or thirsty!). And the cost was reasonable to feed 50 people. Too bad our son will be too young to remember it, but everyone else had a great time!“
“Every bar has a gimmick. Nowadays a lot of them getting too gimmicky. Not this place no gimmick. Hard to find in Chicago.Tried to drink all of their $4 tall boy PBR. The chicken quesadilla, how I got me and my coworker home. If I wasn’t in town on business I would’ve drank all their $4 tall boy PBR.In all seriousness, was told they were under new management. Obviously it’s working. Staff was entertaining, locals were non stop entertainment, food was crème de la crème of bar food.“
“Anthony is fabulous he deserves a raise! He is very friendly professional and does what he has to do ! He doesn’t forget about us even when its packed and crazy!I worked in the industry for over 18 yrs in the best restaurants and hotels in Chicago, now im a business owner Anthony has the personality that customers like, he is great at what he does. Also your kitchen guys are greatThe food is always great ?Even when is busy my food never takes tooooooooo long :)Thank you guys you all are a great team and we keep coming here every weekBecause you make me feel welcome and you give me good food lolBut the most important you make me feel welcomed. So thank you“
“Food was good, got the peanut butter burger and had good flavor. Next time i'll be adding onions and pickles on it as I got it the way it came. The pretzel bites were absolutely delicious. If you're a pretzel lover then you have to try these. I got honey mustard on the side as an option instead of the beer cheese. The service was good, but I would've liked to have been told that getting sweet potato fries instead of regular fries was an extra charge. When the options were listed it sounded like it was all an even substitute. The atmosphere was exactly what you would expect, looks like a pub with televisions everywhere and nice folks around.“
“Great place to go have a drink and grab food! Literally and an option for everyone when it comes to beer, liquor, wine, and food. If your a blue cheese fan, don't even get me started! The blue cheese is made in house and can't be beat! Smooth and chunky ???. It's pretty chill until around midnight and the pops off. So you can have a chill time or a club vibe depending on when you go. Plenty of games to play and plenty of slots to play as well.“
“We order the Sampler with the half Alabama Chicken (with skin so crispy and flavorful it makes bacon jealous), brisket, pulled pork, sausage, pulled chicken, corn bread, French fries, Texas Toast, Brussels sprouts, and picked veggies. Easily can feed 3 to 4 people.“
“Went here on Valentine's Day with my boyfriend, and we were able to make reservations the night before. Great service and accommodations for the busy evening! We both ordered beers, and the food was fantastic. I got the chicken piccata, and he ordered the bacon burger. We both had the Chipotle mayo on the side that added a great twist to both meals. Splitting the two was a great idea. I like the open concept of the restaurant as one side is a bar and the other is more centered around dining. I'd definitely make my way back here when I'm in the area. Totally recommend!“
“Friendly Bartenders and amazing drinks is why we come back. Our 3rd visit was welcoming and friendly. The hot honey wings is our favorite as as the sweet hot chili flavor. Bartender went and checked on the guests out in the patio. Felt taken care of. Good job guys!“
“The service was incredible an employee let us have at least one free game because me and my friend are new to the location and it was awesome. The ambience is phenomenal. I love all of the racing games that are VR or motion based also the Godzilla VR was incredible and also a lot of of these games that are not at Rosemont is incredible even though we didn't have any of the food at this location I probably would consider going back and having food I would recommend this Dave & Buster's location over the Rosemont one Schaumburg has the better one“
“Violet's Gaming Pub: A Great Place to Relax and Have FunI recently had the pleasure of visiting Violet's Gaming Pub in Elk Grove Village, Illinois. I was immediately impressed by the friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The staff was incredibly helpful and attentive, and they went out of their way to make sure I had a great experience. The food was also delicious. I had the chicken parmesan, which was perfectly cooked and served with a generous portion of pasta. The service was quick and efficient, and the prices were very reasonable. But the real highlight of my visit was the gaming. Violet's has a wide variety of games to choose from, including arcade games, pinball machines, and even a few video games. I spent hours playing my favorite games, and I never felt bored or restless.I would highly recommend Violet's Gaming Pub to anyone looking for a fun and relaxing place to spend an evening. The staff is friendly, the food is delicious, and the gaming is top-notch. I can't wait to go back!Special Shout-Out to Bryan the BartenderI would be remiss if I didn't give a special shout-out to Bryan, the bartender. He was absolutely fantastic! He was so friendly and attentive, and he went out of his way to make sure I had a great experience. He even gave me some great recommendations for games to play.If you're ever at Violet's, be sure to ask for Bryan. He's the best!“
“We LOVED this place. It’s just what a neighborhood bar should be but so much more. All of the food that we ordered was absolutely great, the portions were large and the price was right. Our server was Jessica and she was on top of everything. We order the potato skins and wings. Both were great. We then ordered Philly cheesesteaks, both chicken and steak and the steak burrito. Again, all were great! This is the kind of place that every neighborhood should have. Great food, great atmosphere, great service and all at a great price! We will be back!“
“This place is on my list of top 5 favorite dive bars. When you walk in there's a room to the right that has pool tables, darts and giant checkers! Then just when I thought it couldn't get any better. A band started jamming and they sounded incredible! The glass wall in between us created the perfect amount of sound. We ordered pizza and it was hot and delicious. Our bartenders were friendly and attentive.“
“We went on St. Patrick's Day for Corned Beef and Cabbage. We arrived before 5:00 pm and to our dismay they were already sold out of it. In my opinion if they are going to advertise that they are serving a certain dish they should make sure they have enough. It wasn't even busy and they still didn't have enough. So hopefully next year they will make sure they have enough for everyone that wants it. I have eaten there many times in the past and the food is outstanding“
“A good spot for lunch with awesome service and atmosphere. Music is on point even when it is slow. Food is fine. Burger is better than fast food and decent for the price point. Come for a beer and burger, but temper expectations. Good for the demo graphic.Parking: not bad parking but only about a dozen spots. Really good handicap parking though.Kid-friendliness: Good for the family but in a commercial area. A nice little sanctuary for a family trendily meal that dad will love too. Nice for the area“
“Had dinner with one of my former bosses and his wife. Been here with them before; they are regulars. Food was good - I had the taco salad which was huge, boss had chicken tenders, his wife had the jumbo shrimp platter. Food and drink prices are reasonable. Atmosphere is comfortable; parking is adequate. Service wasn't stellar, but it was acceptable. Biggest issue I had, since I picked up the tab, is that they charge a 3.5% "processing fee" if you don't use cash. In a world where we are being forced to used cards every day, since so many places are going cashless, I think this fee is out of line. Yes, it was only a few bucks, but it make me think twice before I frequent this restaurant again since I rarely carry cash.“
“This was my first time visiting Premier lounge, one of my long time pool buddy recommended it. I had a great time shooting pool, the atmosphere was very nice and the bartender was great. Never had to signal her to refill my beverage. I would definitely recommend this place if your looking to shoot pool or even stop by for a drink and watch the game.“
“I went here for the first time and I had an amazing experience! The atmosphere was amazing. They had numerous tv screens playing the games. The service was top tier. Our server was so polite and everything came so quickly. The food was delicious and the portion sizes are extremely generous. The drinks tasted great! It was a Thursday night that I went and they had great specials. I highly recommend this place!“
“Great atmosphere for watching sports with countless TV’s on every wall, very clean bright establishment where the ceiling must be 2 stories high, a very good verity of quality food & the staff is always friendly (we need a place like this in Deerfield)..Parking: In the front of Station 34 there is approximately 15 to 20 parking spaces & I believe there’s more parking behind this sports bar & restaurant.“
“I wasn't expecting all the much out of this place, but I was shocked at how delicious their burgers were. Also, they have gluten-free buns for the celiac weirdos like me. Also, even when the place is packed, the staff are able to stay on top of things. I will say they did make a minor mistake on my bill last time I was there, but they corrected it immediately and made sure I was happy with everything, even when there was a crowd of customers around us. Definitely will be coming back! Love this place!“
“Excellent food and drink at astonishing prices. Great, upbeat service. Michael, behind the bar, was awesome. Can't believe they turned the old Dunton House into a slick sports bar, but kudos to them. Highly recommend, and we will be back!“
“An absolute gem of a local neighborhood bar and bowling alley. Eight lanes of bowling with some of the original Brunswick automatic pinsetters, top ball return, and manual scoring (there are free apps available for scoring if you so desire). $6 per game and $2 for shoes (as of this posting February 2024), an absolute bargain. They have a full bar with 12 tap beers including a good selection of local craft brews (plus myriad bottles selections), and over 100 types of liquor, including flavored vodkas, whiskeys, rum, tequila, and everyone's favorite Malört. Wine is limited to individual serve bottles. The staff and owner are absolute legends, quick with their service and phenomenal personalities. They do not serve food aside from a few bags of chips, however, they do encourage ordering in. Joe's Pizza just down the street makes some of the best thin crust tavern cut pizza you'll ever enjoy. A pool table and TouchTunes jukebox are available as well. Outdoor seating is a great way to relax on those warm spring and summer days.“
