Decided to try this restaurant-family venue related to nearby Jen's Steakhouse. Nice setting, friendly, lovely outdoor dining, fancy compared to Jen's. Even though there were some similar items, an excellent cream of chicken soup, they had no crackers when requested, and bread came out long after the soup was gone. The friendly service was slow and the food flavorless. The steak tacos appetizer had no seasoning of any kind, no salsa or guacamole, just an out of place lump of bizarre coleslaw with cranberries. Not worth 25.95. The rack of lamb was not at all crisp, hardly inviting to pick up the bones in your fingers. Instead, it was undercooked and tasteless. The prime rib special was generous, correct temperature as ordered, but chewy and without any seasoning. We had to ask for salt and pepper which wasn't on the table. The accompanying potato mousse was smashed boiled, still wet, lumpy potatoes without even a hint of promised white cheddar cheese. The chocolate lava cake was fine. You'll get much better food at Jen's, 15 minutes to the South, at half the price.

I dinner out with friends was overall just OK. Service was spotty. Pork chops were dried out. $45 bottle of wine on menu was billed at $59.00, which we didn't catch until we got home, 15 miles away.

The setting and the service are excellent here. Food is just mediocre. It is like that everywhere with good quality now. Everything has become so outrageously expensive now that you have to cash in your 401k for a really good meal out. Well the drinks were still good!

I don't get the hype... went tonight for early Father's Day. First, didn't get any bread. Then, we got the crostinis--they were bland, overly hard bread with tough piece of prosciutto on it and topped with a completely flavorless thick slice of pear, and the tiniest drizzle of balsamic. Weird and unappetizing, and impossible to eat, it just made a mess. Then we got our dinners, my wife's consisted of salmon that was drenched in what tasted like Mrs Buttersworth pancake syrup. Absolutely disgusting, so we sent it back to get it redone without the "glaze"--terrible call on that one, chef. I got the surf and turf, and asked for my steak medium rare.. it came out medium well. I didn't bother returning it but it wasn't enjoyable. By the time my wife got her new salmon, I was done, so the whole dinner was awkward and we left feeling bummed that we went there. I realized as we left that I never got the salad I ordered either. Definitely not going to be back, and I honestly question the taste of anyone on here raving about their food.

I love the atmosphere here. The entire restaurant has a view of the attractive back patio which backs up to a beautiful wooded hill. Each different season adds a different beauty to the atmosphere. Service is very good with attentive hostesses and servers. I've visited this restaurant several times in the last several years. I remember the food to be excellent. My most recent visit was for a wedding. What a delightful spot for this lovely event. Dinner was delicious and the venue was perfect for cocktails in the bar before and even dancing with a live band after dinner. It is not a huge venue but it is perfect for a smaller event of 100 or so. Speaking of the bar, I have visited and it my not be large but it is jumping on weekends!

This restaurant is our favorite. The ambiance is spectacular, and the food is always good quality and prepared to perfection. Mike, the owner, is always present on the busy days, and takes an important role to make sure everything runs smoothly. Although the prices have increased due to inflation, it is still a good value for your money. Kristy, our server, was efficient and pleasant. The only disappointment was that our birthday girl was not recognized for her birthday, with a little dessert treat. The hostess did ask if we were celebrating anything, but nothing was followed through. It got busy, around this time, but that is no excuse. Just important little details that make a big difference, Mike! Best wishes, to a real gem of a restaurant. Aleta & Tom Peknik

Called in May and I asked about Brunch for Father’s Day and was told they were having it so I made reservation for 7 people at 12:00. I happened to look in June at their online calendar and it said opens at 4:00 PM, so I called to inquire what was correct. So, the girl put me on hold and when she got back to me said, “No, we won’t be having brunch because we booked two showers that day.” I said really, I made reservations in May, so she checked book and said, “Oh yeah, I see that, well we won’t be open to the public until 4:00, I don’t know who would have done that, do you want a reservation then?” I was appalled and told her no, and let her know who I spoke to and she said oh, that figures. So, I tried getting reservations elsewhere for that time of day, and of corse, now too late, so now I am really upset. I called the next day and asked to speak to manager (Joe) got on the phone. I explained everything and again It did not seem to be a big deal to him. Like, I told him, what if we all showed up at restaurant at 12:00 like my reservation time? Why didn’t someone at least call and tell me there was a mistake and apologize to me and try to figure something out. I let him know this is poor management on his part and I did not appreciate.

Trying to throw a shower called 3 times and she’s always “in a meeting “ and never calls back, terrible customer service!!!

Booked a reservation a week before going to the restaraunt on 05/07/22. Informed us 2 hours before that our reservation is cancelled due to a wedding taking the space. That notice shouldve been made well in advance.

The best thing about the evening was the other couple at our table. It was great to see them. The restaurant however, not good. We sat at a corner table. I was facing a corner of 2 blank walls. One wall had some carpeting cut out. Our pork chops were probably the worst I've ever had in a restaurant. They looked pale & unappetizing, like they'd been cooked in water. I ordered a specialty drink which came in a small glass filled with ice & possibly a shot glass of specialty drink. Desserts, tiramsu had no flavor at all. The sundae dessert was a hot cookie with ice cream on top. The cookie was good but there was no presentation except for a tiny dollop of whipped cream that looked like an afterthought. We experienced no atmosphere & below average food at high prices. Even the little candle on our table didn't work. Why do people flock here? I guess if you're outside your experience is different but is the food better? There's only one thing about this restaurant that I could recommend, the server was good.

The outdoor seating is what drew us here. It is absolutely inviting and wonderful. We ate here several times in the summer and the food is very, very good. It is family-owned and the staff is usually very warm & friendly. There is a nice selection on the menu and you will want to come back to try everything on the menu. The atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable. We did not feel like we were going into a hospital zone of sanitizer scent and temperature gauges. Thankful for that!! If you're that worried, stay home.

It was too cold to dine outside. But it was a very nice place to eat and relax. Great food, great service and great atmosphere.
