We came because it was relatively nearby to us and we figured we would give it a shot. The service was good. The rest was mostly empty, which is odd for a Saturday night. The samosa filling lacked any salt or spices. The paneer makhani was so orange it looked like it was overdone with food coloring. The naan and roti were toasted too much, to the point where they were crispy. The veg biryani was the only flavorful dish that we had. The veg pakoras also lacked salt. Overall the good service did not make up for the poor food.

recently came with a group of 37 & food was delicious. all the food came hot and tasted great. the food took a little while to come but it’s expected as we were a large group — majority did order ahead and i think it helped the food come out in a timely manner so if you’re coming in a large group i’d definitely recommend doing so. servers were really nice & accommodating. we’re returning patrons & love the food here. our table got the chicken makhni (butter chicken), chicken tikka masala, tandoori chicken, chicken biryani, and basmati rice. fan favorites is the chicken biryani and chicken makhni. overall would definitely recommend! for families of young children, there are no changing tables in the washroom so keep that in mind when visiting (:edit: they informed me there is a changing table! i didn’t think to check the bathroom in the banquet area, that’s my mistake. thank you so much for your service!
Do not go there for buffetWe went for a buffet there and we kept waiting for every buffet item for 20 minutes as most of the trays were empty for a very very long time. we had to leave as they didn't bring the food. We were charged full price for the buffet regardless of empty food trays.

We ordered items from the menu for lunch. It's nice that the option is given for both a buffet or the menu. The buffet did not have too many choices to our liking that day and so we ordered items not on the buffet. The jalfrazie was cooked differently but was tasty. The owner is very friendly and has updated the place. All in all, a very pleasant lunch!

My husband and I tried House of India last weekend and were already on our second visit! The food comes out piping hot and it is delicious! Super flavorful, large portions. Our new favorite spot! Nice staff too!Vegetarian options: We tried two different types of daal and loved them both!
We stopped by on our way back from Starved rock state park visit. Asked the guy to recommend best biriyani and he suggested most expensive Lamb biriyani. I believed and it was the worst mistake. The biriyani was horrible. I complained about unboiled rice in the biriyani, he went inside and came back with the theory that it’s Punjabi style biriyani, and it’s cooked like that. He didn’t even show respect to replace the item or admit the fault of them. Totally disappointed and have to pay full price for the garbage biriyani. Will never visit again.
