Very good lunch specials - I have been coming here for years and it's just as good as ever! The bento boxes always come with so many options. We ordered sushi this time and did not disappoint.

Every visit over the past 25 years has been delicious and pleasant. Whether we get sushi, maki rolls, or teriyakis, it is fresh. The dining room is conversation friendly, and service is excellent.

My husband's ramen was served luke warm, serving plates were wet, and they really should use better quality rice for their sushi. Finding a cockroach while we were eating was worse than any of these shortcomings. We were so grossed out and told our server after my husband caught it in a napkin. The manager never came to talk to us. Instead, the server simply said to us, " the dessert is on us, but we can't do anything else." We were clearly not looking to receive free foods. We were appalled by her response and the management's indifference to this situation. Never going back.

One of my favorite Japanese restaurants, been coming here since I was 12. Won't find a better lunch deal around.

Simply the best sushi around. Fresh, Tasty and reasonably priced. What else can you ask for?

Good sushi good prices, however the rolls aren't to big so if you are hungry you will need three or more rolls.

I've been going to Akai Hana since I was a little kid. It's the place I look forward to most in the North Shore area! The sushi is always fresh and the noodle dishes are exceptionally good. I love the spicy beef nabeyaki udon and cold udon especially. My sister and brother love the udon noodle soup. The service is always great here, and the restaurant is clean and pleasant. I love it and will continue to be a returning customer for as long as I can be!

I get lunch here several times a year... so not exactly a regular, but I've been around enough to see the menu evolve and stay the same. It's a nice plaza-style restaurant. Yes, as others have pointed out, parking can be a little tight (it was worse pre-pandemic when the lot seemed to be under repair all the time). I am not a good judge of "authentic" or not... but it is certainly a little more classical in its approach. Yes, there are some non-standard dishes and rolls, but they aren't as crazy as new age stuff out there. We often get the bento box lunches, which is a fair amount of food... a soup, crab salad, entree, and a cali roll. I'm also a fan of the udon, which seems a little more no-frills. I can see service being a little inconsistent, but I've always been a little sympathetic since it's been very hard to fully staff up.
