My two friends and I had a lovely evening at Convito Cafe. All the staff with whom we interacted were very pleasant and professional, and the food was quite good. Almost best of all, they kept the music soft, and we were actually able to converse with each other without having to shout - something that is becoming increasingly difficult in many restaurants. Convito has a very varied menu and everything I've tried has been great, They also have a shop to buy some of their dishes, plus other things that look wonderful. Their salads and pastas and flatbreads and quiches are my favorites. They have special ones daily and always the dishes on the menu.' I would recommend sitting in the outer edge by the windows if you are sensitive to noise. The last time I ate in the main room, it was a bit on the noisy side. It's a comfortable, charming little restaurant with good parking in a small upscale mall in Wilmette.

Convito did great for Easter brunch. They were busy and stayed on top of things. Food was hot and fresh. We love the Crème brûlée but I think somebody missed the mark. Seemed like an ingredient was missing. Taste wasn't right. Here and there you'd see staff congregating at the hostess stand. Bad look for a fancy North Shore establishment, but VERY attentive staff. No issues with service whatsoever. Very kind and accommodating establishment. This is why the congregating isn't a good look!

Being Valentines Day they were crowded for lunch. The waitstaff were nice yet understaffed. Usually I would rate them higher but after being ignored for at least 20 minutes, I have to be honest. Plus I did have reservations. Also their prices are on the high side. Better value elsewhere.
had sword fish steaks special and it was cooked perfectly. son had 4 cheese fettuccini and he was very satisfied. they have a bakery, so the bread could have been a little better. warmed perhaps, but still ok—it's something guests notice. otherwise, a nice bistro w/ good food.

Absolutely delicious! We had a fantastic flatbread to start, and one of us had pasta carbonara and the other short rib with mashed potatoes. Very well-made and seasoned and friendly, professional service. Don't miss the chocolate lava cake!

We always enjoy this delightful restaurant and gourmet mini market. A variety of fresh offerings are well prepared and beautifully presented. Last night we enjoyed perfectly cooked linguine w/ fresh clams, a delicious roasted chicken, and whitefish. All were excellent. Service was attentive but respectful of our need to chat...which we could easily do in this calm atmosphere! Can't wait to return!

Always good, Convito is one of our favorite restaurants on the North Shore. Casual, comfortable and warm, it's easy to stay here and chat while you enjoy your delicious food. This time I had the quiche of the day - probably the lightest quiche I've ever had, just yummy. And the side salad was generous and delicious. Of course a walk through he market after meant bringing more yummy stuff home!
Tonight was lovely. Ravioli was unique...beet salad good. Our server wasn't great. Desert was special. Love the way tea is handled.

We, three older women, all enjoyed our dinners but wished there had been more vegetables with them. The chicken was delicious but came with a mountain of french fries. Next time I think I would order a salad, even to split. My scallops were excellent as was the accompanying risotto. Service was also excellent, those waiters worked very hard!

The quality has declined in the past year(s). The meat on the open faced turkey sandwich was served with fat and gristle and lots of carbs (no vegetable). Ordering a side salad contributed significantly to the cost. The chairs have never been comfortable, but I noticing more as I get older. I still like the deli, but I won't return again soon.
