A wonderful experience! Beignets are actually better than the French Quarter ones ( sorry NOLAns ?) . Paired with a cappuccino or a latte , the french nuns are winning . ?Parking: Sunday was free parking

The chocolate is amazing and organic. The baked items are... Meh. The quiche seemed previously frozen. The croissants are a bit oily and heavy. The tarts are beautiful but rather tasteless and bland. Not bad, but definitely not special. As for the service - I have walked out a few times because I was totally ignored when I walked in and as I stood and waited more than 10 minutes. The nuns are often overwhelmed. We also tried to get some wine here, and asked for some Viognier. But they said it wasn't cold and they only had one kind, which we didn't like. Why display all that wine if it's not available? As I said, I buy chocolate here, but not much else anymore. Tip: There's a 4 percent surcharge if you use a credit card and they also ask for donations.

9/2024Very unique experience, you get served coffee by French Nuns!I enjoyed the stop, loved the Austrian cookie I got, enjoyed the Berry Tart, the coffee was OK, and the decorations were amazing. It seemed that all baked items are baked somewhere else, I thought the tart filling was fresh, but the crust seemed a bit stale! Cookie tasted delicious, but they are not freshly baked! The Nuns were very friendly!Would go again for sure just for the unique experience! You should also go to experience it, not for the freshly baked items, but for the ambiance and experience!Oh, and they charge a percentage for credit card payments, very old school!!!Kid-friendliness: Just a very unique experience, they have plenty of pictures that could start interesting questions & answers with your children!

Charming bakery with excellent organic baked goods, very good coffee and organic teas. Huge selection for such a small spot, including savory pastries and quiche, candies, and packaged cookies. I especially recommend the coffee eclairs. Can't wait to return and try more French specialties!

Adorable coffee shop. The nuns are so nice and the atmosphere is just so happy. I love the fact that most items are organic, that's extremely rare for any establishment. My cafe au lait with oat milk was delicious, and so was the berry tart. The fruit on top was super fresh tasting, and the custard and crust were perfect. I wish this was closer to me because I would go all the time!!

I ordered the potato leek soup and a ham and cheese quiche. My friend ordered the broccoli delights Ham and cheese quiche was my least favorite. Tasted like something I could get at Starbucks. The rest was delicious.

What an adorable pastry shop with freshly baked bread, breakfast pastries, desserts and savory baked dishes. Lots of seating and the nuns are friendly and helpful. Really appreciate all the organic breads they have and you smell the freshness of the baked goods coming right out of the oven. We tried the pear cake, berry tartlet, almond croissant and more and everything is delicious.

St Roger Abbey has the best French pastries in all of the North Shore. Everything is organic and tastes amazing. Highly recommend their coffee, cakes, and tarts. The sisters are also genuinely nice and service is great.

I am regular at this establishment and have been satisfied with their product and service. I am happy to see more positive reviews; however, lately noticed negative reviews posting. Wonder if it is because of a new bakery installation right next to St.Roger Abbey? Remy

The croissant was deflated and lifeless. It tasted as if they had used so much butter that it had collapsed under its own weight. None of the airiness of a good croissant was there.

Amazing cute little patisserie in downtown Wilmette. The sisters are super friendly (of course) and the food is incredible. I don't usually like croissants but theirs are divine (pun intended). Fresh baguette? Yes please. Highly recommend, plus you'll be helping the nuns with your purchases.
