Restaurant was open and bright with a nice fireplace and great looking bar. Our server was prompt and knowledgeable when we asked about entrees. The crab cake and the short ribs were delicious. The butter cake was very good also. We enjoyed our evening and will definitely add the Lawn to our dining list.

The Lawn is an excellent restaurant for food and service. We have eaten there twice for lunch and both times the dining area becomes extremely noisy as the restaurant fills. There is nothing visible to absorb sound such as carpeting, fiber on the walls, etc.

It was a beautiful day at the golf course and I know golfers come first but we were all freezing with the golfers lunch window open. But we persevered and put our coats on. Love the food and service couldn't be better. 5*******

Had the Thai noodle steak lunch bowl, companion ordered Madden steak sandwich. Started with a bread and butter basket $4, from the Publican bakery. Totally worth it, the butter was spreadable and the bread warm. Went in a beautiful February day a rarity for here overlooking the greenish golf course. The steak in the bowl and sandwich were done excellently.

Outstanding. The food, cocktails and service were impeccable. Kudos to the chef and management. Don't hesitate because of the park district golf course clubhouse location that's usually associated with "grill" food. The Lawn far surpasses high end establishments that proport to deliver a similiar food experience but fall short most of the time. I want this place to succeed, and stay true to its culinary mission and passion. My only suggestion is that a restaurant this good needs an ambiance upgrade if it stands a chance at being a dining destination 12 months a year. I will be back, hopefully in cozier, more comfortable surroundings. It will make dining there so much more pleasureable.

While the restaurant was surprisingly empty for a Sunday evening, we had a wonderful meal. Everything was delicious - the mushroom risotto, prime rib dip, and the kids grilled cheese ?. Impressive wine list. It was a little on the pricy side ($34 for the prime rib sandwich), but we will definitely return.

I spent my birthday at The Lawn, and it was an absolutely perfect experience! A group of friends joined me for happy hour, and the team at the Lawn took amazing care of us. Many of my friends had never been there before and were blown away with the friendly service and the great food and awesome overall vibe. Later, I had dinner with my family and every dish is excellent. Pork chop is fantastic. Mussels are wonderful. Flatbreads, crab dip, short rib...you can't go wrong. Can you tell I'm in love with The Lawn :)?

I enjoyed the burger it was delicious. The service was excellent. My husband had a salad and soup and the flatbread and he really enjoyed. It would definitely recommend this restaurant to any of my friends.
We had a wonderful dinner last night at the Lawn! I came to the restaurant mainly for the phenomenal oysters but decided to try their fried chicken also. It was finger-licking good, and Brussels sprouts were also delicious! A Northshore well-kept secret the Lawn is. The food is delicious and the service is wonderful. Love this restaurant.

This the second year my husband and I celebrated the end to a year and toasted to the new at The Lawn. First, we loved the free champaign! I asked to sit near the fireplace and the request was granted. The roasted brussels sprouts were the best I have ever had! All of the food was fabulous and served with a smile by a lovely young lady who is studying to become a chef. There was a large group of friends who were at the bar, but the noise level was not at all excessive. We will definitely be back and plan to bring more friends to this very special and beautiful restaurant.

enjoyed a skirt steak sandwich i ordered for carry-out. very tender and flavorful. i believe they get their meat from zier’s…a local butcher in wilmette. i ordered with an optional side salad which was also good.

Service was horrible. I think the food is good but don't know for sure as I had to take it home because my order was wrong and it took a really long time to finally get it. With no apology from the server. May go back if in the area as my husband liked his meal.
