The food is wonderful and the staff is working under socially challenging circumstances and handling it with aplomb! I recommend Pomeroy for any meal... because their food and service are both incredibly solid... their signature apple dessert is... and I wanted to hate it, a little because it was SO PERFECT... but I couldn't, because it was also one of the most delicious things I've eaten! The staff is exceptional and they have the ability to make a busy weekend night seem like a dead weekday afternoon... you never have to wait for anything, and your needs are met by anyone and everyone who is within reach of your table... Which means, every manager, host, server, busser, and runner etc will get you whatever you need when you need it, despite the fact that they all have an actual job to do! Because this establishment realizes that working as a team to make the guest experience wonderful is the key to success, especially in a place like Winnetka. Pomeroy will last forever... or that is my hope!

Went to Pomeroy for the first time this week with my wife and thought it was really impressive. The north shore needs more places like this that rival the quality of restaurants in the city. The restaurant itself is super well put together. It is a solid sized space but feels cozy, the lighting and vibes were perfect. The food itself was quite good too - for starters my wife and I had the East Coast Oysters, the Tuna Tartare, and the onion soup. The oysters and Onion soup were solid, but the tuna tartare was super fresh and tasty. For our mains, we split the burger which was solid as well, but not mind blowing. I will say the fries they use are fine but I would assume Kennebec fries at a French restaurant. For dessert we had the creme brulee which was good but was chilled which was surprising. The service was stellar, our waiter didn't miss a beat, had solid recommendations, and was friendly. They even have free valet which is a nice touch. Will definitely go back.

Simply wonderful and it was my birthday and my name was on everyone's menu. The food was perfect and delicious, i had steak and pom frites, excellent. Great ambiance and the customers looked as good as the food. Our waiter was fabulous! So if you have a special evening planned, go to The Pomeroy you will not be disappointed.

There's a bar in the center of the first main space. It got loud Saturday night. Steak Tartare - Shallot, Capers, Dijon, Quail Egg, Toast - large cut chunks of beef. Country Pâté - Pistachio, Pommery Mustard, Sweet Gherkins -- the spread was more like a thick slab of spam with entire pieces of nut Plato du Jour Saturday - Tournedos Rossini, Seared Foie Gras, Truffle-Madeira Sauce -- which translates to filet mignon on mash. It was good. It's the only thing that I would get again. Seared Salmon Baby Bok Choy, Sweet Red Pepper, Ginger-Lime Beurre Blanc -- fine. lots of raw garlic Brussels Sprouts Parmesan, Apple Saba -- super charred tonight

My dad's favorite restaurant of all time. On his birthday they even gave him a special menu that had his name on it. Amazing service and amazing food - even able to accommodate my allergies (celiac disease) and prepare their French onion soup, fries (separate fryer!), among other dishes, completely safe for me to eat. I always love visiting Pomeroy when I'm in town and my dad for sure agrees with any opportunity to grab some of their food!

Nice atmosphere and good food. We went to celebrate an anniversary and it was enjoyable. Staff was efficient and friendly.

Overpriced bistro food. And I cannot stand the Winnetka parents who think their 12 year old daughters need to go out for a group dinner here or a brunch. Of course the parents are somewhere else dining out away from their regrets for some peace and quiet. This has happened 3 out of the 4 times I've been there in the last year.

Love the Dover Sole! Great cocktails too! It's chic, great service, and different than most boring restaurants. Very busy! Plan well in advance to get in!

Pomeroy is a cozy spot for French food lovers, but it’s on the pricey side. I visited with a friend; she ordered a salad with beef, and I had a salad and two glasses of wine. She had one glass. In the end, we each paid $80. It’s a bit surprising how fast the cost adds up. So, while the food and place are nice, be prepared for the price.

The staff at Pomeroy were very friendly, and we had an incredible authentic experience there. The lunch menu was top-notch, and they served Breton cider with the food, which was great. I definitely suggest trying the sweet crepes; they're thin, light, and generously filled. The owner was really nice and even cracked a few jokes with us. Plus, we got a discount on the menu in the end! I'm excited to return and try more of their awesome dishes!

Been here almost a dozen times and usually solid. But the last time had poor service, and the food missed the mark. I’m a fan of Ballyhoo but it’s not trending well.
