We decided to try out Tocco on a whim after spending the day at the Chicago Botanic Garden. Even though we hadn't booked a table, the host welcomed us warmly, setting a friendly tone for the evening. To our surprise, the guy who greeted us turned out to be the owner and chef, Bruno Abate. He was really nice and made us feel right at home. The outdoor patio was a great spot to enjoy, with its cozy setup and pretty lights.Looking at the menu, we found lots of yummy-sounding dishes to choose from. Each one we tried was delicious, with authentic Italian flavors that blew us away. What impressed us the most was how reasonable the prices were compared to other Italian restaurants in Chicago. We got a bottle of wine, a couple of main dishes, and a dessert without breaking the bank. All in all, Tocco has become our favorite place in Winnetka. With its friendly staff, tasty food, and cozy atmosphere, we can't wait to go back. Thanks, Tocco, for a wonderful dining experience!

The food was good but too expensive for the portion. It's hard to have any conversation as the noise level is out of control. Coffee isn't refilled without another charge. And, as we were walking out with our friend that has Parkinson's, we were yelled out to “close the door”! Give those with disabilities grace to move as quickly as they can without a rude comment from the owner!

I went there for pizza specifically but what I was served was an insult for Italian cuisine. Little Caesars is slightly better.

TOCCO is easily one of the best dining places on the North Shore. The food (Italian) is authentic, fresh, and beautifully presented and prepared. It won't disappoint. Go early if you prefer a quieter setting. It gets a bit more "energetic" later on a Saturday evening. The staff are all wonderfully patient and attentive.

Always a pleasure to eat at Tocco. Consistently delicious with a lovely atmosphere and wonderful staff. The food is on the lighter side for Italian which translates to fresh and bright flavors. Excellent choices for salads, soups, pasta (homemade), fish, chicken etc. The Eggplant Parmesan is exceptional. I've yet to find anything disappointing. The wine selection and cocktails are also wonderful.

We always enjoy a great meal, when we dine at Tocco and we are are not disappointed. Our waitress was prompt and very nice and as usual, the owner walks around to make sure his customers are content with their choices. We will return !!

Four of us went to Tocco yesterday for dinner. We had not been there before, and it was recommended by a friend. So happy we went there. First of all, the restaurant itself is beautiful. The place settings are lovely also. The menu is good, many choices for all tastes. We all enjoyed out appetizer, salad, main entrepreneurs and dessert. Really good food. We will definitely be back.

Everything about the restaurant exceeded our expectations. Service was friendly and professional and the meal was excellent. We especially liked the focaccia with burrata and prosciutto appetizer. It was a "special", but I would like to see it on the regular menu.

Overall I'd say I wasn't dazzled. We had to wait at the bar for our table 45 minutes beyond our reservation time, the cocktails are only passable, the wine we ordered wasn't very good at all, and the service is very slow. I will say that the food js made with extremely fresh, high quality ingredients, and that does make Tocco a unique experience. It just doesn't stand out in a big way for me. If you want classic, authentic Italian there aren't many other options in the area. But the overall experience is lacking.

Food was excellent and the service was perfect. The room is noisy at most any time of the evening, but one very loud table made conversation difficult without almost shouting at each other.
