This establishment is the most consistent restaurant in Woodstock. Doesn't matter whose behind the counter, the food is always 11/10. And they're so nice, and know when to chat with you and when to leave you be.The pastrami dip is outta this world. My husband drank the leftover Au Jus cause there were bits of pastrami at the bottom. Obsessed.

Want to start out by saying how disappointing this staff is. The quality of the food is terrible. I ordered a bacon and cheese panini and literally you couldn't even see the cheese. Also one more thing and the menu is listed a bowl of chili for $15 LOL they are completely out of touch with serving quality food and affordable prices, and like other people have noticed they have a very horrible demeanor.

A couple friends and I were in town over the weekend for the Midwest Women Riders event. We stopped for lunch and Melody took such great care of us! She’s a very friendly bartender and server and we greatly enjoyed chat with her. We asked for her recommendation and she told us how she tweaks ingredients for the Italian Beef sub and adds certain cheeses, so that’s what we got. It.was.AMAZING!! She also told us about a pickled veggie mix we could add so we did that also - gave it another level of deliciousness! Chips were awesome also. We think you should rename the sandwich “Melody’s Italian Beef” and serve it the way she makes it!

A few weekends ago my husband and I took a ride to enjoy the day and grab some lunch. We stopped into Lucky Bernie's in Woodstock. We had been at the Lucky Bernie's in Spring Grove and it was fantastic! We ordered chili cheese nachos and Reuben's. We loved that you could see the corned beef in the cooler and also the fresh rye bread. The bartender ( I think the owner) prepared the nachos with a delicious chili, melted cheese and super fresh chips! The Reuben's were so thick with the most delicious and fresh corned beef. We are both are very picky about our Reuben's. Lucky Bernie's Woodstock, hit the entire lunch, out of the ballpark. I also noticed they offered carry out orders as well. We can't wait to go back! We will also enjoy experiencing their other Lucky Bernie locations. (especially Huntley!) Thank you for providing a great family owned restaurant with true quality food for the community to enjoy. :) See you soon!
So, this place has some top notch sandwiches. I'm not used to eateries with slots, coming from NC, but I really liked the general "dive-bar" feel! It's a low key place with good food.Service was efficient, maybe not like an Applebees, but more of a "whatcha want", "here ya go", how's it?" And "bye" sorta thing verses the upbeat service with a smile, but not rude or mean - just casual.
