We came here for the first time today for a brunch date and it was awesome. From the moment we walked through the door it was adorable. The service was immediate and very friendly! We loved not only the delicious fresh food but the variety of food was great! The decorations on the walls and just the ambiance of the whole place was so cute and right up our alley! Can't wait to come back and bring some friends too!

Ginger & Soul is a cute little buffet cafe with a great variety of eggs, bacon, bakery, salads, breads... Kate has a culinary degree and hospitality. The food is always hot and delicious. You'll definitely be glad you tried it!

Great place for a lovely Sunday brunch right along the river. Delicious breakfast food and selection of sweets! Excellent brunch drink menu with half bottle mimosas. The staff was so helpful and friendly. Highly recommend!

Reached out to Ginger & Soul for their cupcakes and macaroons to make our Daughter's (Becka) and new Son in Law's (Shane) Happily Ever After Party a sweet success. After reading their catering menu, we also chose to add in cheesy potatoes and a pasta salad for our sides around our pig roast. What a treasure we have here in Yorkville! We knew the cupcakes and macroons would blow everyone's socks off (which they did in spades), however, the sides got just as many accolades. We were very happy with everything. I highly recommend this business and have shared their name with a variety of our guests.

Super cute intimate brunch location. All good selections were fresh and delicious! Can’t wait to check out the outdoor seating when it gets warmer!

It's suppose to be a buffet but they only had maybe 5 options plus they only have pork. Not much food at all and not a real variety of fruit in the fruit salad. The hash brown casserole was burnt. The waitress was very nice. I went there based off the reviews but I have to say that we won't be returning we paid $106 and didn't really have anything to eat because we don't eat pork and my hubby is vegetarian. It's a cute little place and when I say little I mean just that.

Yummyyyy!!! This place has been on my list try for months and it did not disappoint. It's super cute and cozy inside that's so inviting, although that does also equate with limited seating. Luckily we didn't have to wait too long but it was worth it. There was a good amount of food to choose from or if you're like me, don't choose and try some of everything. Special shout out to the baked French toast and bacon twists, whatever you want to call them. Not sure how twisting bacon makes it more delicious but it does. I like that they also change the menu up so you can try different things each time. And for the price, it can't be beat. Fantastic brunch spot.

Outstanding brunch, best we had in Yorkville and surrounding area. We also had one of their prepared meals to go and it too was 5 stars. Highly recommend to all who have not tried it.

This was a fun experience with gorgeous views of the river. We went the third week in October and all the leaves were turning. This is a buffet and the food was delicious and the presentation was beautiful. The atmosphere and decor is very relaxing. I also love that they put a pitcher on the table. Several families with children came in and they made them scrambled eggs because the buffet egg item was not in their preferred food range. Over all they were very accommodating to children. This is definitely a hidden gem of Yorkville. They cater as well.

Small, intimate space. Inviting, warm decor. In town visiting family and my sister brought us here for brunch. Very impressed. Food was scrumptious. Loved the thoughtful selection of condiments(hot honey, truff hotsauce, etc.) French toast casserole that was an elevated version of what I've had elsewhere. Homemade pastries, including a pumpkin croissant. Orzo salad that was phenomenal. Too bad I don't get back to the area very often, I live 5 hours away. Definitely recommend to anyone and plan to come back next time I'm in town.

How did I live in Chicagoland for so long and never know about this gem? Seems like I'm not the only using the word gem to describe this place! I was back in town visiting for a wedding and my host recommended G&S for brunch. They are only open eight hours a week and the only time we could get one of their few tables was 9 am sharp. We arrived on time and were the second table seated in a dining room that only contained eight tables. Great music, with classic rock and country played at a moderate level. Servers were all super nice and engaging. I could tell this was a place where the regulars come often and the staff knows them well. I got my OJ and my friend got her coffee. Juice tasted pretty fresh, but I admit I wish it had a little pulp. Right away we headed up to the buffet line and it was so amazing. Herb and cheese frittata, thick cut bacon, thick sausage patties, cheesy hash browns, banana bread French toast, biscuits, sausage gravy, Caprese salad, cinnamon rolls, raspberry brownies, fruit salad, almond poppyseed scones, chocolate chip cookies... Everything I tried was excellent. The bacon and sausage were so full of flavor and as I mentioned they were thick, nothing wimpy about this breakfast meat. The French toast really had that nice banana and cinnamon flavor going. Cheeses added richness to the shredded hash brown potatoes. That cinnamon roll was so flaky. I even took some the buttercream frosting on top and spooned it on the French toast bake and that only made it even more amazing. I almost felt sorry for the fruit salad of blueberries, red grapes, and honeydew! 23 dollars was a pretty solid deal, especially since it was unlimited portions. I've had a few brunch buffets, but this absolutely ranks in the top 2 or 3 I have ever had.
