This is a great place to just have breakfast or maybe a late lunch. The prices are reasonable. Staff was friendly also. I didn't give the atmosphere five stars because really it's just no frills restaurant. I can recommend the ham and cheese omelette and pancakes.Kid-friendliness: Many of the families there had brought their kids and I have brought my kids there before also.
5+5+5?I go there for the breakfasts, my wife loves the soups. The skillets are fantastic, I've eaten at almost every restaurant in Waukegan, Zion, and Kenosha. And quite a few in Libertyville and Racine. El Lago stands Head and shoulders above almost all of the restaurants I've eaten at as far as breakfasts go.
