I'm only leaving a review. This low for three reasons. Staff with not so pleasant attitudes. An a perceived overall lack of care for customer issues. Also the constant short supply of populardishess sold. One in particular the wicked Thai soup. It's almost as if they purposely run out by not making enough regularly . I have driven long distances , sometimes a hour plus . On days I've called ahead of time to verify they're serving it. Just to be told when I get there they don't have anymore. This has happened on at least 7 or more occasions no exaggeration. Which normally Oh well I'm cool with it annoyed, but cool whatever I missed it. This is norm I'm use to expecting that from this place at this point. However, the last time I went was the last straw. Now I have to leave a review on this place. I went I called first I was five minutes away. I was told they had wicked thai soup . I Arrive five minutes later and I'm told they're sold out. Then when I mentioned the fact that I just spoke to someone that told me it was plenty. The staff gets an attitude .At this point I just asked them who their supplier was so I can just get it myself jokingly they got even more of an attitude after I asked that (jokingly). The food is good here! HoweverVisiting Dagwoods may be a waste of time if you're looking for something specific.Parking: If you're looking for parking forget about it.

Had the steak and cheese "prime rib". Was the most flavorless sandwich I've ever had. My fiance had the brisket and she said it was delicious. Staff was very nice. Service was good.

Really great sub place, usually ends up costing about the same as most of the chains around and tastes much

We almost didn't go here because of the yelp reviews, but we had a friend who swore it was the best sandwich, so we went. It did NOT disappoint. We got their special (because why would you get anything else) and it was STACKED. The bread was soft and flavorful and the toppings were plenty. It was a bit messy but worth every bite. The ambiance is a little dingy, and I wouldn't say it's got great vibes to sit in - but picking up a sandwich for lunch or ordering door dash - I would do it in a heartbeat. I'll be back for sure.

Great price for lunch. I enjoy the 1/2 sandwich with soup. The Dagwood's sandwich is my favorite. ☺️

Service was great, but the sandwiches were really below par in my opinion. The bread is chewy and flavorless, and the toppings were bland as well. I found myself getting tired of their turkey sandwich after the first bite.

The food is phenomenal! I have never had a bad meal or had anything bad on the menu! Always amazing service! You can tell the owner puts time and effort into serving everyone! The deli is chill and you def feel the college town vibes. It's a great place to hangout in between classes or grab a sandwich on your way home from classes (right near all the bus stops too)!

I wanted a meatball sub but I didn’t want one from subway because ew so I looked up places in town to get a meatball sub and dagwoods was one of the first places to come up so I drove over to dagwoods and it’s a very nice atmosphere here and the gentleman that greeted me at the counter was very nice and they got my food out in a timely manner and it just might be the best meatball sub I’ve ever had 10/10

I loved this place back when I was in college there. I still remember my order from back in the day. A Dagwood Supreme on wheat, with provolone cheese and extra of the special sauce. Can't wait to visit Bloomington again, straight to Dagwoods ❤️

Our first place to get a meal while visiting Bloomington was Dagwood's - my partner's request as he's an IU alum. We got metered parking right out front, went inside and ordered. We were the only customers in the restaurant at 6:30pm on the Wednesday evening of Spring Break week. We ordered sandwiches for 5 people and it took about 30 minutes to get them. Given the wait, we left and took a walk. By the time we got back everything was ready. My veggie on croissant was really good. Choice of 3 cheeses, any of the free veggies I wanted and Dagwood's Special Sauce. The sandwich itself was skimpy compared to something I could have gotten at Jimmy John's for the same price. Though you can't get much on a croissant. If you're looking for something OG to Bloomington, Dagwood's is it. If you're looking for something that will fill you up, maybe go elsewhere. Everyone in our group liked their sandwiches. We also purchased a 1/2 dozen of the chocolate chip cookies. They were good, too. The two employees working were friendly and hustling to get sandwiches made. Dagwood's has a huge menu. Overwhelming to someone who's never been there. You can order one of their specials, or build your own sandwich. Restaurant was clean, though I probably wouldn't dine-in. Recommend.
