I went to nicks this past day and the experience was amazing! Service was amazing and food was quick and savory. Great location and the atmosphere was very satisfactory. 5 stars and will definitely be returning.

Was just there for the first time with my daughter, walked in not knowing where the upstairs bar was. The young gentleman could not have been more rude. Basically telling us to get out and not walk through the restaurant. Not knowing what he was talking about. After asking him several times that we just wanted to go to the bar, he told us to literally get out . I wish I asked him his name. At the Upstairs bar with our family now , great fun vibe

So if you need to read a review to learn about Nick's, you may not understand. It's like doing a review of Buckingham Palace to the royal family or a review of the White House kitchen to the first family. Nick's is a staple, get there very, very early and be ready for great food...but this place is mostly about the cultural significance and atmosphere. The service is as good as it can be, given the crowd. In case you haven't been there yet, you gotta go.

The bizz fries are soooo good!! They come with this "magic dust" seasoning on them and a really good garlic aioli type of dipping sauce. Can't go wrong with chicken tenders and beers too

I'm 58. I've been going there for 37 years. It's my favorite place on earth. We used to have a bucket there. The Strom is the best invention ever. Does anybody know where I can get a copy of the AJ Foyt/Bob Knight photo on the first floor on the original side? The Upstairs portion west of the original side used to be a salon. New York was the name. I'll bet there's still hair up there. The last 4 times I've tried to eat at Nick's the door men have denied me entrance on the original side and suggested I go to the Upstairs edit: Susan, thank you for the procedural. I will keep all of this in mind.
SO DISAPPOINTED with Nick's. Packed house to watch the men's basketball game and owner's refuse to subscribe to BIG TEN PLUS, so no game! Patrons are pissed. Staff feels unsupported. This cuts into their livelihood. Headed to Yogi's

Typical college town pub. Lots of college memorabilia and TV's. The staff are great, The food is good, typical college pub options. Can you bring the family here? Yes. Will the younger kids want to come back? Probably not. It is crowded and loud almost all the time, but that is part of the charm.Vegetarian options: There are options for the vegetarian; a black bean burger, black bean quesadilla. My vegetarian had the black bean burger and liked it.Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly but after the finish people watching, they will be bored. Not a Nicks problem.
