The staff is so friendly and we were seated quickly even though they were busy. You can watch the chefs make the food. Speaking of the food , WOW!! You will not go home hungry and it's amazing. Our son chose the Big Al sandwich it's huge! Anything you pick you will not be disappointed. The staff were super friendly.Wheelchair accessibility: They will go out of their way to make you comfortable.

This is the only restaurant that should be allowed to offer Italian in the Bloomington area. All of the Italian Nonnas must be working in the kitchen because it taste homemade but better! The food is full of flavor, color, and portion sizes are generous. I had the best salmon filet here that wasn't overcooked like most places and the cheese ravioli with ragu sauce should be on everyones bucket list of dishes to try. The only downside is parking but hey it's Bloomington, there is no parking anywhere.

I don’t know why it took me so long to come here! We made a reservation and were seated immediately on a Saturday night, very glad we did. We had the burrata (amazing), gnocchi (I’m still thinking about the sauce), and cacio e pepe (so good). Will definitely be back!

Fresh made pasta and great wine. Lovely service. I don't care for the cramped seating area in the back, that some find "cozy" because I'm slightly claustrophobic. So aside from the mini panic attack, would recommend.

Our go-to place for Italian. Authentic and delicious. The pasta is made fresh in house. You can also purchase the pasta and sauce at the local Co-op. Love Osteria Rago.

Turned away on a Saturday before 6pm. We tried to call all afternoon for a reservation, showed up to try for one and the hostess was not very nice in our in person request for a table. I am handicapped and told no table for us tonight.

Hands down the best Italian food we've ever had. However, it's almost impossible to get anyone to answer the phone to make a necessary reservation. We called around 2 dozen times over the course of 2 weeks and never did get anyone to answer the phone. The hostess seemed very annoyed that we didn't have a reservation and sat us, but with a time limit. Server was great, food was amazing. Would love to go back but nobody answers the phone. Called all days of the week at different times of day, didn't matter. No answer. Tried both #s on the website. We would come here all the time if we knew we could get a table. However this big time deters us from paying to park & not being able to be sat simply bc our calls won't be answered, it's a huge shame.

Simply the best Italian food in Indiana. It's a small restaurant with a great atmosphere and the best, authentic Italian dishes. The chicken marsala with polenta was amazing. The chicken was cooked perfectly and the sauce was excellent and paired perfectly with the creamy polenta. I almost don't want to say all this, as it's tough getting a reservation on short notice, and I don't want to make it worse! We will definitely come again.

One of my favorite places for Italian in Bloomington. Their half price bottle Wednesdays are always a good deal, and their charcuterie boards are good value. Even the half plate has more stuff on it than other restaurant’s full plate. The pasta with guanciale is one of my faves if you like pasta with a kick to it.

I gave a 3 star for the food. Although my daughter said she was not impressed. The service for a dinner that came to well over one hundred dollars for two people was not what you would expect. Just to give you an idea without wasting too much time, we ordered a bottle of wine of which we did not finish. When we asked the server to cork it so we could take it home and she brought a paper bag for us to cork the bottle ourselves. Not worth the money.

2 hr wait everywhere else but Osteria was able to squeeze the two of us as long as we could be out in an hour. Carbonara was awesome and the cheese ravioli was also good.

We had reservations for a party of 8 prior to going to a show. We made sure we would have plenty of time so we would not need to rush. We arrived and were quickly seated, but that was the quickest part of our dining experience. After we ordered our dinners, it took over an hour to be served. The meat ravioli came out cold. Chicken Alfredo had little to no alfredo and the shrimp aglio olio came without shrimp. Not impressed with this restaurant.
