I ordered a custom cake for my daughter’s 3rd birthday, and it was absolutely amazing! She loves dinosaurs so I went with triceratops. It’s carrot cake on the inside, and it is the best carrot cake I’ve ever had everyone, especially and including my daughter, loved it!

What a Phenomenal Birthday Cake Experience!! Sugar and Spice Bakery made my daughter's 21st Birthday at IU EXTRA Special by providing a Beautifully decorated Hot Pink Barbie cake as requested Online! The Cake was DELICIOUS and Surprisingly inexpensive for as Lovely as it was! I Highly recommend this Bakery for a Special Occasion Cake! They will not disappoint!Our cake was ready for Pick-up On time on a Sunday afternoon in order to surprise my daughter!We are so Grateful!! I have bought Special K Chewies at Sugar and Spice since I was a student at IU in the 70’s. I love them and they are the reason I go there. Today I bought some for the first time in two years and they are terrible!! They taste like honey, there is no peanut butter flavor at all. I may give them another try in a few months in hopes they go back to the real recipe. But if what I bought today is what will be offered in the future, I won’t be back.

Sugar and Spice made my wedding cake last year and it was beautiful and delicious! This year, I surprised my husband with a small replica of our top tier for our anniversary and the baker knocked it out of the park yet again! Great communication in the planning, the pickup was on time and easy and the cake was perfect! Hoping to start a tradition each year.

I called all the bakeries in Bloomington to make a Red Velvet cake for my daughters birthday. No one could do it. I'm so happy I finally found Sugar and Spice. They did a beautiful job, decorated it and not crazy expensive at all! Highly recommend.
Hands-down freshest cinnamon roll I've eaten outside of homemade. Delicious, too! I was staying at the Biddle Hotel in late July. While I LOVE this place--the hotel, the student Union, IU campus--I was missing my free hotel breakfast. Crazy me, I actually look forward to free food. But when I stumbled on this little bakery outside the IU Bookstore, I was super grateful to have 'missed' that free junk because the cinnamon roll was divine. I made sure to stop back by that evening, too. I usually ask the servers their favorite(s) or for a best-selling recommendation. Both times their suggestions were spot on. For my nighttime snack I chose a slice of the chocolate chip & nut snack cake--can't remember it's actual name--quite distinctive. But they'll know if you ask for it by description. Stop by for a bit of comfort--baked tummy-yummies!

Ordered a one year wedding anniversary cake from them. Picked up the cake and served it to my guests the same day. The buttercream was sour or it was made with salt. Either way we ended up throwing the entire cake away as no one could even eat a bite. I was so embarrassed. I messaged them and told them about the incident. They gave me 20% off on a cake that I could not eat. Will NEVER get anything from them again.

Not sure why they advertise that they deliver, they don't return your email or calls until delivery is no longer available. Called two days emailed also, finally returned my call at 4:00 the second day and said would not have a cake for delivery for the day needed, Unsatisfactory business behavior.
