All options are vegetarian, and if you choose vegan cheese when you have the option everything is also vegan. Our server was great!

I wanted to give them another chance after a few bad experiences since the pandemic when they changed owners. There were several times we couldn't order from them because they were out of our old favorites or we knew not to order something because it wouldn't be the same. Another time my fries had what was the texture of sand in them. When I complained they denied it was sand and blamed it on their fryer oil. No offer of a refund or replacement even when they seem to know their oil is full of sand like gross stuff. They're the only meat free restaurant in Bloomington so I really wanted to love them again but when I saw the prices it was a no for me. I get it that food prices are up etc...but I can't afford to buy from them again, especially when they've consistently been such a disappointment. Sorry to see what they've become because I doubt they'll survive in the competitive restaurant industry. The Owlery was never the best veg place to eat, but we had a couple items we really loved like the tofu appetizer with coconut on it and peanut sauce, the roasted veg. salad, peanut rice bowl and a couple others. They aren't the same. :(

Some of the food is okay, but it's now extraordinarily expensive ($15+ for most of the appetizers??), and the quality of the food is very inconsistent. Our experience has not been good there in the 4 years or so since it changed ownership, and we for sure won't go there any more with these kinds of prices. A better bet if you're vegan or veg is the Indian restaurant across the street, Amrit. Better yet, if you're in Indy, visit 10th Street Diner, which is outstanding.

Great food for vegetarians and vegans with several options. The Sunday brunch menu is also good. Space is very tight and it is busy.

The prices have gotten too high to justify going anymore, sadly. I love their red onion jam sandwich with tofu skin and their tofu scramble, but it’s just not affordable. It’s good for a splurge

I got the ‘fish’ tacos and they were definitely amazing. I am from out of town and it’s super dry when it comes to plant based options and this place is great.

I love coming to the Owlrey or getting take out. Everything is delicious and filling! I'm not a full-time vegetarian, but I've never been disappointed with anything I've gotten here, and it's helping encourage me to reduce my meat consumption overall with such yummy inspirational dishes! Plus, the atmosphere is really pleasant- it's not too big of a dining room, so it's not too loud, and I've always gotten great service!

I had to run over to Bloomington to deliver some lighting equipment and the people there said to go to the Owlery. They were correct. Great food. Everything was eclectic, perhaps on purpose. The nailed the weird vibe. I enjoyed it. Vegetarians get the shaft on most food places, but the Owlery delivers. Thank you for an excellent lunch.

We eat here often when in town. Lots of tasty vegan comfort food! The beers are pretty tasty as well.It is sometimes busy at lunchtime, but we were the only people there at 4:00 (also, school break).
I still miss the steak and cheese. Last we went, fries changed to frozen.

Tried to buy a gift card on the phone fromout of town as a present for a friend. I asked politely if it was possible. The girl I talked to was incredibly rude from the moment she picked up the phone and literally hung up on me! After 1 minute! Worst customer service I’ve experienced in years.
