This has been my second visit to Truffles and both times I’ve stay impressed. The service, food, and atmosphere is very good - however the menu suffers due to this. Short of their daily specials, the entrees are limited and seem to typically include either fish, chicken, or steak. There are a couple pasta options and a portion of the daily specials had vegetarian fare as well. This being said, while the options are limited the food being served is immaculate. This time, I got the pink grouper and it was wonderfully cooked along side some potatoes and green beans; both of which were what you’d expect from a nicer restaurant. My wife received the 16 oz. New York strip which came with two large pats of truffle butter. My only complaint with this is those two large pats create an incredibly rich steak, almost nauseatingly so.The service and atmosphere are friendly and professional, the location leaves something to be desired and I could see how Truffles atmosphere could be improved upon by a stand alone location. This, by no means however, affects the quality of the service and food.Overall, we’re seeing four stars due to a limited menu and more to be desired atmosphere but I must stress, the food is excellent and I would recommend it to anyone wanting something nice for dinner in Bloomington, namely anniversaries, birthdays, or fancy dates.

The name says it’s truffles and you’d of course be expecting truffle in your food, well they take advantage of that, add some truffle essence and oil and charge you like they out shaved truffle on your food. Ironically the waitress didn’t even know what shaved truffle was, regardless the food below average. The cocktails were not upto the mark either, I’d say it’s one of worst restaurants in Bloomington according to it’s high Google reviews

This is always fine dining at Truffles:excellently prepared food, excellent choice of fine wines, trained and attentive, knowledgeable wait persons. Somewhat expensive to very expensive, but worth the culinary enjoyment.

We always have a great meal here - all four of us ordered the special Steak and Frites and all were very pleased (order the truffle-mayo for the fries!). And a special thank you to our waitress - we had cocktails before dinner and she timed our meals so we could relax and enjoy those before our entrees arrived.

This was yet another wonderful dining experience at Truffles. We started with cocktails that were perfectly crafted to our tastes. Our drinks were soon followed by shrimp cocktail appetizers that were fresh and delicious. We ordered a variety of main courses, and each one was tasty and well prepared. The service was prompt and courteous. This was an absolutely perfect evening. You cannot go wrong with Truffles. It is an excellent dining experience!

Met a group for early dinner. I've passed this restaurant over past year and never considered going but that changed tonight ! Fantastic food and service and wine menu. You will be surprised so don't let the fact it's in a shopping strip next to a Kroger stop you from going .

First time here and probably the last. They were very busy which makes sense, however, did not understand why three days after Valentine's Day. We were only allowed to order off the Valentines Day menu. We didn't get any of the options and no specials offered that we saw on their online menu that we were looking forward to enjoying. Really wanted the pasta dish i saw online. If I knew it was only a valentine day menu option 3 days later then I would have went out to dinner on Valentine's Day. The calamari was bland and the full pieces with the tentacle's were very tough to chew. Did not eat the rest. It was disappointing. The mahi mahi was very dry and was under seasoned. The purée it was placed upon helped with the tasteless flavor so I slathered it on the fish with each bite. It was served with two small pieces of broccoli. The waygu burger for $25 was ok. Nothing out of the ordinary from a basic burger. It was a nice size burger but did not taste like the $25 price tag . The cheesecake was the best part of the meal. Very tasty and had a great raspberry sauce. Service was fine. For the price tag - so not worth it. First time and definitely the last time.

Edited: manager did call to rectify our situation so i increased the number of stars from my original review. We were quite disappointed with our pre-Valentine’s Day meal. My wife ordered the petite steak pointed it out on the menu, and the waitress put in the wrong order. A slightly larger steak was brought out, which was not completely to my wife’s liking and which What is the wrong steak. We asked the waitress when our check came why it was so expensive and she said that my wife ordered the 5 ounce steak and that there were two 5 ounce steaks on the menu which there aren’t. there is actually a 5 ounce and an 8 ounce. The waitress didn’t even know about the menu. We did not figure out that they screwed up until we went home and looked up the menu. Therefore, they overcharged us for something that we didn’t order. We called back that night to ask to speak to the manager about it. Some dude said that they weren’t the manager but they would help us ( which he could not) We explained our situation to him and he said that we should have cleared it up while we were Dealing with the bill. The person on the phone was not sympathetic and said well you should not have eaten the steak. The person said that they would pass along our number to the actual manager who would call us back in the next few days.

Went to Truffles for the first time on, Valentines Day. They were having a four course menu for a fixed price. In my opinion, the amount and quality of the items chosen, were not commensurate with the price paid.

I ordered a 5 oz filet steak med well tonight which I had on my first visit 2 months ago. The steak seemed similar to the last one I had, except it had a green sauce on the side. It tasted similar except I liked the one I had in December better. The check came and I was billed $48 which is not what I ordered. I asked the waitress why it cost so much and that I ordered the 5oz fillet. She acted like yes that is the price for a 5oz fillet. I said I wanted the petite 5oz. She said they also had a 5oz fillet which is what I ordered. This did not make sense that they were the same size but a different price. I did not have a menu in front of me. I clarified, so I would have had to ask for a petite 5oz. She said yes, I just said 5oz filet. I said, I guess I ordered it wrong, we paid and left confused. I looked at the online menu when I got home and it said 8oz fillet cost $48 and the 5oz was $28. She clearly put the wrong ordered in because I said 5 oz and pointed to the petite on the menu. She acted like I ordered it wrong. She did not offer to reduce our bill or make it right. I called truffles when I realized she was wrong and she made the order mistake on her end. I asked for a manager. The person on the phone said they could help but then said they were not the manager and were not sure if they could help since we did not correct our bill at the time of payment. They also said I ate the larger steak (I could not tell it was larger or different from the previous steak I had 2 months ago). I just thought it tasted not as good as my previous steak experience. I asked for a manager to call me back to resolve this problem and the waitress should be better trained not to order an 8oz when a customer asked for a 5oz. The menu has an 8oz $48 and a 5oz $28. I did not need to say petite as she indicated. I'm unhappy with how they treated us as if I made the mistake. The 8 oz did not taste as good as the 5oz. This was not a positive experience.

One of the best meals I've ever had in my life. The fig jam complemented the tender duck breast and perfectly fluffy gnocchi very well. The warm pine not goat cheese was rich with flavor and so good you could eat the bowl with it
