I was SO happy with the cupcakes we ordered for my daughter's birthday! I didn't have anything specific in mind as far as design when I ordered, but I let them know that our "theme" was rainbow unicorns, and they offered to dress them up a little. The results really wowed everyone. My daughter was absolutely over the moon.I also really liked that I was able to order multiples of 6 rather than 12. Very helpful when you're trying to do a more modest party for an easily overwhelmed five-year-old! I'll definitely be using Underground any time I need sweet treats.

I saw a picture of these cupcakes that looked like clouds, and since we were celebrating my son’s heavenly 1st birthday, I ordered a dozen. They were very good, but so expensive! Almost $4 a cupcake, and they were just normal-sized cupcakes!

This place has AMAZING cakes!! We have used them for 2 weddings, bridal & baby showers, birthday cake & mini cupcakes! ALWAYS moist & delicious, decorated beautiful and a huge variety of flavors that never disappoint! They have delivered wedding cakes with no worries or stress. Highly recommend for all occasions.

They're easy to work with for a custom cake, and the gluten free cake stayed fresh for several days. I've never tasted better than the lemon cake with raspberry filling!

If you gather nothing else, they are now CLOSED ON MONDAY. Don't make the mistake I did and drive across town on your lunch break, the hours on Yelp are not accurate Fast forward to today, tried a second time to pick up cupcakes for my wife. The poor woman at the counter admitted that she was brand new and hadn't learned how to make the drinks yet, which would be fine, except she's the only person working. Who is training that poor woman, with 5 people queued and nobody helping. I stood second in line for about 10 minutes while she tried to juggled the needs of 7 people, make drinks that she seemed wholely not trained on how to make, and listening to the other employee casually chat about how she sold the business last year. I'm pretty sure the 4.5 star rating was inherited by the new owners, because it was a whole mess. I eventually just left after watching them hand out the same wrong order to two different parties. Not the new girls fault AT ALL, but man what a mess

I have been to The Underground Bakery several time and always have a great experience. They have friendly staff, and a variety of delicious cupcakes available that changes daily. Several times I have been able to go in and pick out a dozen cupcakes for events and they are always a hit! These cupcakes are delicious as soon as you get them but also still delicious if you put them in the fridge for later. I am always looking for an excuse to buy these cupcakes! My favorites are Strawberry Champagne, Chocolate Chip Cheesecake, Blueberry, Lemon Blueberry Marscapone, and of course Red Velvet. I have yet to eat a cupcake there that I didn't like. They even have dog treats! So go, grab a treat for yourself and your best friend!

I live in Florida and found The Underground Bakery on line. I was planning my Mom's 80th birthday in Bloomington. I sent Melissa a picture of a napkin that showed my color scheme and the flowers. I met with Melissa upon my arrival to go over everything. The cupcakes came out so beautifully and were the hit of the party. They were so pretty and they tasted really good. These cupcakes wereworth every penny. Thank you Melissa for doing such a fantastic job. The flowers were impeccable and the colors were perfect! My Mom was so happy and loved them!
