TLDR: WISH I COULD GIVE 0 STARS! Got charged for top shelf liquors without any specification for that. Bartender knew he could take advantage of our young ages. From the second we walked into the establishment, the bar tender did not show an ounce of warm behavior as an employee should. I am not sure if it was him be skeptical of our ages, but in that case we all would have willingly showed multiple forms of ID to confirm our ages/names. I can understand the questioning of our ages as we are 21 and 22 year olds, but continuing to treat us differently because of that assumption is not professional in the slightest, especially when choosing to celebrate a birthday at their establishment. From there, we opened a tab and ordered shots and mixed drinks without specification of a specific brand of alcohol (assuming they would give us wells unless other preferences are specified). Charging top dollar for drinks is one thing, but blatantly overcharging a group of young adults who are out to have a good time is downright predatory. As the night continued we got more drinks to celebrate a birthday and next thing we know we are all awake the next morning, not sure how we got home the night before. To say we were over served would be an understatement. I fully take responsibility on the fact that we all should have cut each other off, but it is also bartenders jobs to make sure that everyone in their establishment is coherent and in their right mind to at least get home. Thankfully we knew one of the employees who was able to help us get into an Uber. I had to reach out to the establishment to get a copy of our bill because none of us remember closing it out (because we didn't). A round of shots and mixed drinks turned into a hefty tab with mysterious charges that no one in our group had authorized. Once getting in contact with employees we found that we were served for 25 drinks in 2 and a half hours to 4 girls. We got charged for Kettle One Vodka for our shots and Buddha vodka for our mixed drinks. For those who don't know what Buddha vodka is (because we did not), it is a fancy, swanky bottle. We were also never asked our name for the tab when ordering drinks even when different people ordered than the one who originally opened the tab.The sneaky tactics employed to rack up the bill without consent is disgusting and clearly a target toward the fact that we were younger women who he thought wouldn't look twice at an expensive bar tab. He thought wrong!Following all of this, I was encouraged to speak to the manager about our experience. I called and politely attempted to recreate what our experience was from the past weekend and he simply said "What are you wanting me to do about this?" You would think that I would have been met with an ounce of respect or even a simple apology would have made my friends and I feel better, but he did not offer that. He claimed he would investigate this and corroborate the story with the bartender but did not even ask for a call-back number and so I am not expecting anything out of that phone call. I just wanted to share for younger women who are going out to bars like these so that they don't get taken advantage of like we did.

UPDATE: This is one of our favorite spots. I left my original review (below) a few years ago. They've made several changes to their menu and management of the kitchen since then. We love their food, and the staff and management are terrific. My wife and I really tried to love this place. Great location and atmosphere, and we love their beers. But food had been consistently mediocre and overpriced. Twice within 2 weeks, we were charged significantly more for our meal than was on the menu. 1st time, my son ordered chicken parm listed on the menu for $19 which is a lot for a plate of pasta and a piece of chicken. But was $23 on the bill. They said they changed the way they charge for it but hadn't changed the menu - now was $19 for the pasta plus $4 for your choice of protein. Not much chicken on it either. Next time, big sign on the wall and flyer in restrooms said Monday special was $8 any of their burgers. Got the bill and were about $12 each. We asked and they said beef was too expensive to offer the special. Both cases we were very polite bringing it to their attention, but they were very unapologetic, just basically said "yeah the menu is wrong its actually this price." We may go in for a beer every now and then, but we're done with their food.

Came for all you can eat crab legs. It’s a joke. Slow service ran out of crabs. It’s awful. Don’t go.

Great local brewery

This is a good local pub to have in the village. Their home drafts and rotators are all very enjoyable. I’m always surprised by how little money I spend here despite ordering several drinks and appetizers… the prices are very fair. Services is usually decent though I have seen them understaffed sometimes when the restaurant is busy. Food is also all very good and comes out relatively quickly.

Already upcharged for bourbon without asking.... what you don't believe in your own? Waitress at bar seemed overwhelmed. Not inviting being from Ohio.

I tasted the pizza burger, and my wife tried the chili. Both were excellent. The beer I tried was a witbier with ginger, and it was amazing. The environment is really cool, and the staff is very friendly. We will definitely come back.

Beer was good, but I waited 30 minutes to get it and never saw a server again to order food. So we just paid and left after waiting too long. Way too understaffed for a Saturday.

If you want to catch any game in Indy, this is the place to go! The staff and beer selection was great. This is a perfect spot for a game day, just ask for your game and as long as they have the subscription they'll help you out! I

This is the place to be during nice weather. Danny Boy has an amazing patio, with roll-up walls that they leave open, so the restaurant becomes one of those indoor-outdoor joints. Lots of fresh air and natural light no matter if you're sitting indoors or out. We chose to sit on the patio, which is shaded with umbrellas at the tables and also big shade canopies running along from the roof. Because the walls were open, we could see three different spotting games that were playing on the TVs inside. There are some patio games for kids off to one side of the outdoor patio. The food is your typical bar food: burgers and nachos and fries and a few salads. They do have several flatbreads on their menu, which we tried (we got the Margherita flatbread). We also got the George Foreman, which is a typical cheeseburger with fries. The fries were really good -- I guess they were the type of fries that you would call "sidewinder fries," because they were thick and spirally. They have discounted specials every day, and the day we visited, the special was nachos. So that's what I got! Nachos come with your choice of chicken or beef, with a side of salsa. The nachos are huge and I didn't even finish half, even though I had some help. Definitely a deal if you get the nachos when they're discounted. To drink, I got the Mac Daddy Scotch Ale. I don't usually like dark beers, but this one was pleasantly smooth and slightly sweet, and went down a treat. The service was excellent -- we were seated right away, our food came out quickly and accurately, and our server was pleasant but didn't linger. Everything you want in restaurant service! I'm looking forward to visiting Danny Boy again.
