We ordered a gluten free strawberry cake for my daughter's birthday. It was dense, definitely not strawberry. It tasted more like banana bread. It was 3 layers, the top layer was about 4-5 inches and the middle and bottom layer were about 2 inches. We were charged $70 and did not get what we wanted. The only reason I gave it a star, the icing was good. Horrible, dry cake.

Don't walk, RUN to this bakery RIGHT NOW and order cinnamon rolls. Oh my god they are amazing! We called ahead and ordered a few days before arriving in Indianapolis, and it was a wonderful experience. The owner has celiac disease and understands food allergies very very well. We also have a tree nut allergy, and she actually came in special on Saturday evenind to cook a gluten free nut free meal for me and my kids! She set up a table and served us herself! She is absolutely the kindest woman ever, and the this is the type of small business sense that I want us all to support! Baked goods, pizza, empanadas. There is great selection on site, but you must call a couple days ahead to ensure everything you want will be available if you have specific things you want to try.

Jenny accommodated a last-min birthday cake request that was dairy and gluten free. We took the owner’s recommendation for a simple angel food cake with fruit and it was absolutely beautiful AND delicious! I did have to wait awhile for the cake to be finished upon pick up, but I didn’t mind and was grateful she could fit me in.

It is gluten free but I have to warn you to NOT go. My daughter worked there and I had the unfortunate experience of helping her unload items from the farmers market into the restaurant. Her kitchen is horrid. Food is left out for days (eggs, fruit). Food that she served was sitting out overnight. Just laying out uncovered. I was appalled. I talked to the owner, Jenny and she was incredibly rude. If you read the reviews, you’ll see some examples of her behavior. I cannot believe she is still in business. I usually wouldn’t blast a restaurant like this, but it’s almost my duty to steer people clear of this place.

My husband called about a specialty dessert that he could not find anywhere else. Of course, he found it at Simple Taste. I was so surprised for my birthday and it was the hit at the party.

I was really sad to find this bakery closed when it said it was open online. I was really looking forward to trying the gluten free pastries. I'll be sure to call before coming next time

Simple Taste is one of the best gluten free bakeries I have ever been to. Not only is the owner friendly and helpful, but her food is absolutely excellent! I get very sick when I eat gluten, and finding this bakery has enabled me to eat things I have not been able to eat in a very, long time: Muffins, pizza, ravioli, empanadas, cinnamon rolls, French rolls, cookies, cakes, pies and more!! The owner has even delivered my goods during the Coronivirus!Thank you so much for your wonderful food and excellent service. I’m so very glad I found you!

I have allergies and she is automatically gluten, dairy, corn, and yeast free but can do vegan, sugar, nut, and almost anything else free! Super nice and 100% recommend! It’s the best vegan place I have ever been to. I had a lemon blueberry muffin and it was delicious!
