Okay- I really hoped my experience would've been better. We walked in and were seated right away. The place is small, so probably not good for large parties. I went with my daughter. The menu is a bit pricey for Carmel area. I am from Chicago (proper) and I don't think I've ever spent $60 on breakfast for 2 people. My daughter ordered the French toast with sausage. I ordered a coffee with Almond Milk and the veggie omelet with cheese. We added cheese to the omelet and sausage as a side order. The omelet was unmemorable. Not bad, just hohum And my cheese came out on the side salad that came with the omelet instead of in the omelet. How did we get to $58... the sides, add-ons and almond milk. We had to beg for water. When I asked "can we get some water" I got a glass but had to ask for an additional glass for my daughter. When my water was out I couldn't find my server to ask for a refill. (Remember the place is small... so where could he have gone?)!. We had to ask for silverware and syrup. Our server just wasn't attentive and the cost... just put me over the edge to drop down from an average 3 stars to 2.

We stopped in for brunch with our daughter after a doctors appointment. Both service and food are five stars! We ordered the sunny day omelet, huevos rancheros, and French toast. We are not from the area, but will certainly stop at Sunny Fay Cafe the next time we’re in Indy.

This place does it all right. I know it's a spinoff of Mornings on 86th and Ditch. Menu is identical. Huge portions. Hot coffee. Great service. Good food. Sunny decor. I finally had real corned beef hash. I mean it was made with real brisket!! We had food to take home. Pancakes were fluffy and delicious. Definitely a hidden gem. Welcome to Carmel!

I love this place! If I could come every weekend I would ? Our server Maria (and all the other servers) are the sweetest! You can tell they genuinely are happy to be there. Plus the food is bomb. I want to try everything on the menu!!!
