Our to go Chinese restaurant in the area - best egg rolls and crab Rangoon. We’ve both dined in and do carry out - everything is always fresh and comes out pretty quick. Pretty consistent as far as food too and only had one time in carry out that it was still good but not as consistent (more onion then meat in Mongolian beef, more cabbage than usual in the egg rolls).. they were slammed this day though and it was still good. My husband likes the spicy food normally but everything he’s gotten hasn’t been spicy compared to other restaurants but I’m sure knowing that if you ask for it spicier or extra spicy they would do that for you!

Had bugs in larvae in my food I notified the waitress and she grabbed my plate dumped it and the manager said I had to pay still I said I’m not paying after I found bugs I don’t know if I ate any as well so I’m not paying they threatened to call the police I said call them and then I waited then they said just leave go go so I left and warn people of it since

Tao chens is the best right next to Grand Chinese kitchen in Chicago. The food is amazing and so is the service. I made the worst mistake of my life in christmas eve going to Happy Wok cause Taos was closed. Happy Wok got nothing on Tao Chens. I take out all the time too besides dining inn.
Exceptional food and friendly staff! The crab Rangoons and Boba Teas are a must try. The Coconut Curry Tofu and hot and sour soup here are the best I've found in NWI. The food and atmosphere are well worth the trip.

I always get the house fried rice, Singapore noodles, or their version of the drunken noodles. Fabulous when they get the order right. Barely speak English, but food is legit! Been coming here for 2 years.

hadn't had good chinese food in a while, so was happy to find this place. the staff were happy and friendly, it was clear the restaurant was like a second home to them. even though the meal and appetizers were good, i was happiest with the thai tea which had a lot of sweetened condensed milk in it!

Went here to grab some food to go, ordered 2 eggs rolls with a shrimp fried rice with extra egg (from my 30+ years of eating shrimp fried rice, there’s always been some egg in the mix). The egg rolls were hard as ever, they seemed to be recooked. When I opened the rice, there was a fried over-easy egg on top, I was livid because that is disgusting, what Chinese restaurant doesn’t scramble the egg into the fried rice? I was very upset that I wasted time waiting for this and spending money. The rice tasted like barbecued rice & a lot of the scallions in the rice was burned.

Me and family decided to have lunch at this place. We regretted it. The food wasn't that great. Service was the worse I have ever had. We were left waiting for drinks refills and we had to call the person who served us to get us more after an long while . They got my daughter's food wrong and when we told them to get us the right one, they took foot ever and we had to call them and remind them of the food we were waiting for. That's when they remembered we had a dish waiting. Pretty sad . We decided to leave just a few bucks because of the service and way we were treated and then they got upset and were rolling their eyes at us. We paid and walked out giving them thanks and none of them replied. They even followed us outside on the parking lot to return our tip. I will not recommend this place to anyone who wants to eat Chinese in Chesterton Indiana. People here are rude and they have no manners whatsoever . I will never eat here again . Rude and ungrateful people.
