After dining at 10 West for nearly a decade, and loving Chef Wampler’s menu and attention to detail, I am sad to report that after the Chef Wampler’s leaving and turning over management to his partner, 10 West is no longer what it once was and I will not be eating there again. The food just doesn’t meet expectations (Pork Tenderloin was dry, Walleye was soggy and the remaining money on my gift certificate was not honored). Cicero’s premiere restaurant is no longer competitive. A great loss.

We were underwhelmed with our experience this past time. We are used to exceptional timely service however this past visit was sub par at best. The server was really nice, however we waited much longer for our meal than normal and even had to inquire about our salad. We were told it was due to a larger party in the banquet hall. The restaurant has been super busy in the past with no impact on service/food. Somethings seemed off this time.

been looking forward to trying 10 West in Cicero for a few years. Unfortunately was a bit disappointing. The grilled was dry and the breaded tasted more of fish and shrimp than pork. staff friendly and fun.

The food is delicious, the wait staff was great, but for some reason, they have four “hostesses“ who ruin the experience from the moment you walk in. We walked in right on time for reservations. One little twerp said we needed to wait. Another couple walks in and they seat them immediately. Then she looks at me and said “can I help you?” I already checked in!? She begrudgingly seated us. Would the owner or manager Please explain this to me? Never mind, we won't go back.

Food was outstanding per the usual! Gnocchi special was really nice and the steak we ordered was cooked well. Our server Megan was so nice and was so kind to our very friendly and talkative 3 yr old! Just 2 moms trying to enjoy a meal so the kids came along too!

Our server was great, we have dined here many times and had a reservation- we arrived 5 minutes early and was told to wait and yet there were 4 empty tables in our area- not sure what that was about. Our booth seat had significant ribs and holes

Sigh. While last night's dinner was amazing, it was very disappointing to me that you were sold out of the beef wellington. I've been asking for months on Facebook for this dish to come back, and it finally did and an 8:00 reservation didn't do it for us as we were told after being seated that it had sold out. We were told we could come back and dine today again if we wanted to try it (we can't come back. few reasons, we cannot afford a 10 west dinner twice in a row. a special occasion treat. and we have family coming in from California today so we probably won't be able to slip away.). The server was kind, and the food was good. There was a 20 mintue stent where a large group crowded the side room we were in and began to take shots and that was weird, but otherwise it was fine. I'm just so disappointed we still were not able to try the beef wellington. Please prepare more next time :(

We had the best experience for my husbands birthday. This place was recommended to me so we tried for the 1st time. Megan was our server and she was amazing and friendly. Food was fantastic. We will definitely be back.

Celebrating an anniversary should be perfect - and it was. From hostess to waiter to manager - all were welcoming and efficient. The drinks were great and our food was just outstanding. The Walleye was encrusted in seasoned Panko Breadcrumbs and bake to perfection. My husband got the Gumbo and It was very authentic, with little touches of their own , and it was “not just a bowl of soup , but a gourmet entree . We didn't have room for dessert , but the carrot cake looked wonderful . Prices are reasonable and the menu offers Great choices in sandwiches and soups and some hors devours that could double as a main dish, in addition to fish and steaks.

Not a better place to go for the overall experience. Great food, relaxing atmosphere and reasonably priced for just a short drive North. I highly recommend going to the basement for a casual drink and even having dinner in the speakeasy feel of the joint.
We have had extremely great filets at this restaurant for many years . Last evening, our meal was disappointing. The filet seasoning was good, however, the meat was somewhat tough, not like the tender filets of past. Additionally, we all ordered the meat at medium, and found each of the four filets to be overcooked. Service was exceptional as expected. 10 West has recently gone through an ownership change, so we are hoping this is a one off and not a sign that a lesser product will be served at this restaurant.

We celebrated my husband's 70th birthday with out of state friends. We had a great time and a great meal! We heard there is a new chef and hoped the new one would be up to par. Success! Great atmosphere especially in the cellar too! They didn't do anything special for his birthday, but we were all happy, and the waiter wished him a happy one and took our photo. Have never had a bad experience or meal here!
