My family and I love eating here! The food is great, the staff is wonderful/friendly, and they are very accommodating. The food can taste a little different depending on the chef you get, but it is still always delicious.Kid-friendliness: They have a lot of options for picky or even adventurous eaters. I didn't see that they had things like chicken fingers for the pickiest of eaters, but they don't need to. They are very engaging and friendly with my younger children. Every experience has been a little different but still very memorable for my girls.

Food was amazing, the atmosphere was phenomenal and the dumplings were the star of my meal and the shogun chicken was the best I have had of any kind of chicken in a long time! Would come again for sure. I would love to try some more of the lunch special menus in the future. Also our waiter was super friendly, helpful with suggestions and made sure plates were out of the way immediately. 5 stars!

Sat at the sushi bar with my son early on Friday night. Service was super fast. Food was delicious. Definitely a place to try. Sushi was fresh, hibachi steak was tender and perfectly cooked.

Food is meh. Nothing to write home about.I prefer Kansai in Clarksville by a longshot, but this is local enough to get on lunch while at work. I will say it is way overpriced for the flavor/quality. Chicken was greatly overcooked. But in a pinch, it will suffice.
The food was hot/cold but delicious. The hibachi chef was very entertaining but the vegetables could have been cooked a little longer. The only thing I was not happy with is we were put at a hibachi table by the windows and they put a space heater pointed at our table that did nothing to warm us up and our food got cold quickly. Also my 2 yr old grandson almost ran into the space heater. Not a safe remedy. It's a very nice restaurant just don't sit close to the windows when it's cold outside. We spent over 200.00 and I had to eat with my jacket on. It was a surprise bday lunch for my daughter who came from MI to spend her bday with me. If I go back again sometime I'll make sure if it's cold outside I sit away from the windows. Taku had a clean atmosphere and our waitress was phenomenal. She had a sweet personality.

Very impressed with our first visit to Taku! Went on a weeknight & sat down immediately. We were asked if we were there for hibachi or a regular table so they know where to seat you. Waiter Service was always prompt and polite! For appetizer, I got the crab Rangoon -- light & crispy with a house-made sweet chili sauce with fresh pineapples. Delicious combo! For an entree, I got "Maki C" -- three different types of fully cooked maki rolls (a pregnant woman's delight in finding cooked maki!) My favorite of the three was actually the California roll because it was SO FRESH. I've never had a better california roll!! Hubby got chicken tempura. Everything was breaded and fried in a light crispy batter. Lots of vegetable variety with your choice of rice on the side. Both meals came with miso soup (yum) and salad with house-made dressing. I have never had a better Asian house salad!!! I couldn't believe how delicious their sauce was. The waiter said you can buy their dressing & I am kicking myself that I didn't! Restaurant was very clean and bright, with pop music playing in the background. We dressed up a little bit but we saw others in sweat pants and a few couples with newborns, so it is not a formal place.
