Decided to try again and won't be going back. Service was terrible when you have to ask server 3 different times to get something and one was the bill. The couple we were with had steak and she never checked if cooked right. Never asked if we wanted dessert. Food wasn't even that hot. we got there at 5:30 and didn't get check till 7:49 took forever to get food. One of us ask another server for more dressing and the look on her face was horrible. Need better customer service.

Prices are outrageous for most steak and prime rib. My overpriced prime was not medium rare as requested was lukewarm and not very flavorful. My baked potato was hard in some spots and barely warm enough for butter to melt. Salad was large but don’t get the ranch dressing, it was bland. Husband and I agree we will never go there again

If you're up in Northern Indiana near Goshen then stop by Heinnie's....and you may want to get there early because when we showed up at 4:30p on a Saturday night the wait was 60 minutes. It was worth the wait! We got on the list and then sat in our truck until GO time. One of their specialties is the fried chicken and it's fantastic! I grew up on a farm. Both my mom and grandma had their recipes of fixin' (yeah fixing') fried chicken so I know good fried chicken and this is awesome! The cup of house made chili was really good and the sampler platter for the appetizer was well done. Did I tell you the chicken was some of the best I've had? My kiddo had the pork tenderloin and it came out in true Indiana fashion, IYKYK. I had a sample of the half she couldn't eat and again, fantastic. For the four of us to have drinks (sodas), two beers, three entrees (2 split the chicken because it's half a chicken), two beers, soups, salads, and the sampler platter it all came to $102 including the tip. I tip well because I used to be a server, they did a great job, and I'm not cheap. ;-) BTW, we paid at the table as all the servers have the mobile devices for payment. Many simple things done very very well...especially the fried chicken. P.S. I hear the prime rib is especially good, but I'll have to save that for next time.

Have eaten hear since I was 5 years old my Dad would take my Mom and I here. Here favorite place to getting her prime rib carving satisfied! Cozy vibes and hospitality is wonderful here. Definitely have the Soulful taste.
Service was great BUT, the food was amazing!!!! The stuffed jalapeños and zucchini was very good and crunchy. We had the steak for 2 with mushrooms VERY VERY great!!! I can't say enough about how amazing the food was. ?

It's a standard American fare restaurant. The restaurant enters on the side which is marked so so. The potato wedges are good the burgers seem like pre pressed frozen patties you can get anywhere.
