I’m glad Evansville has a place like this, adding to the global cuisine diversity in the city.Food presentation as taste was great ; The dishes were plated beautifully. The hummus and chicken schwarma were tasty. They were out of gyro meat when we went.The most offputting part is that the restaurant floors and tables are very, very sticky and feel unclean.The staff is also a bit standoffish, not very friendly or warm at all. Seemed irritated while I was placing my order, after I told them it was our first time in. They were out of gyro, so I did have a question on what else they’d recommend and I’d expect they’d be warm.Their prices were also a bit surprising. You’ll pay ~$20 per plate which is a bit high for Evansville.If the staff greet you with a smile and they clean up the restaurant a bit more, it’s a solid place and I wouldn’t mind paying the prices.The music and decor give it a great energy.

My first visit and I loved my lunch! I got the Mediterranean rice bowl special, left out the meat since I'm vegetarian...the rice, hummus, falafel, chopped salad and pita were wonderful. Give them a try!
Y’all have to try Kabob Express in Evansville!It is one of the best hole in the wall restaurants I’ve had in a while. Friendly people, amazing food and something different. My boyfriend and i shared the grill plate high was your choice of 3 meats and two side and came with naan.My family got the Mediterranean bowls with chicken schwarma for one and gyro meat for the others.Fantastic flavorful food!

Food is excellent and employees are very kind. Our family tried the hummus platter, shawarma plate, gyro plate, and a special shawarma and falafel rice bowl--we enjoyed all of it. Prices are admittedly on the higher side, BUT the portions were above average compared to other similar restaurants I have attended and for the quality I think it is fair. If you are looking for great hummus, shawarma, or gyro, then it is definitely worth tryingFood is made fresh, so there is a short wait but freshness is worth it.
