The restaurant is large and open and the fireplace created a cozy atmosphere. As I was on my own, I sat at the bar and was very comfortable. The bartender was very attentive and super friendly. The chopped salad was very good. The caprese pizza, however, was in no way caprese. Heavy sauce and nearly nonexistent mozzarella and basil. The corn muffins served with the salad were honestly the best part of the meal.
If you're coming from the south towards Chicago, don't miss this place. A very atmospheric place. The building and hall are stylized in farm style. The presentation of some dishes may seem unusual due to the style, but this does not in any way affect the delicious taste sensations.

Great open timber structure in the dining and pub. Beautiful stone fireplace. Sandwiches portions were abundant and would fulfill any appetite. Jalapeno corn bread biscuits and soft whipped butter so delicious.
