A friend and I stumbled across this new to us restaurant on the way back home after weather forced an outdoor event cancelation. Being adventuresome we started checking our options and decided to stop at this local, family owned restaurant. Sadly my pics were accidently deleted. We each enjoyed a specialty cocktail and I ordered a small queso which was anything but small (shared and had leftovers to bring home). Wonderful melty cheese and plentiful fresh chips were a hit with both of us. Interestingly the menu had quite a few options not normally found in the Americanized Mexican restaurants. My birria tacos were served alongside onion, cilantro, lime and the dipping sauce the birria meat was cooked in...these tacos were the real deal -delicious!! My friend ordered the chicken Enchiladas served with rice and what she declared were the best black beans ever. Service was good overall, prices reasonable and the drinks potent enough we each limited ourselves to one. Sometimes you get lucky when choosing a place to dine and I consider this to be one of those times. Definitely will be back.

We were there at 8p not busy. My friend had veg fajitas & her broccoli was the sz of her hand & she couldnt cut it with her butter knife. I got ground beef crunchy tacos. The beef was completely red (cooked) like food coloring red & greasy. Waitress said maybe its spice. I thought maybe this location made it like a chili? And after I ate I needed the bathroom. I like the one in Westfield & Noblesville. At 96th St. they were very attentive & generous with the chips & salsa. 24 hrs later I'm still waiting for my stomach to normalize.

I have been to this restaurant when it was located down the street across from the Walmart's. Always good, tasty food freshly made with pleasant servers. Unfortunately, the new and improved restaurant building does not transfer to the food. I ordered the same meal that I usually would order at the other location. The tasty factor I remember was missing. It tasted ok in that department. The beans were under cooked, and the food was served lukewarm. My family member asked to have her food heated up, when the food was returned, the food was a new order but visibly burnt. It was visibly burnt, and it was sent to the table anyway. The server was courteous, the food was not her fault. Bad day? new cook? Who knows. I may visit the other locations...maybe. The 96th street new location....probably not.

They have a good dish here and I've come here since they were on the corner near Walmart HOWEVER since they've moved across the street the service is horrible. HORRIBLE. The waitress acted like we were inconveniencing her by ordering. She didn't come around hardly at all. We had to flag her down to get things. She was not friendly and the place was not busy. I made a reservation for 8 people in advance but when we got there we could not sit together they separated us into two tables. the food is overpriced. It's no wonder why they are never busy. Bad service/overpriced food - I now have no reason to return.

3rd visit. Coming in the door my friend asks mgr about menu without drink prices because On previous visit there were not drink prices on the menu; it appeared our server was guessing. (House lime are only drink listed at $9.95.) Mgr explained most Mexican restaurants don't list prices. Huh? 3 others in Indy that we frequent most certainly do. Group of 3 of us ordered two house frozen margaritas, ( listed $9.95) and one Cucumber marg on the rocks that server said was 10 something. Drinks were good, food was yummy. Bill comes: $12.95 for house (apparently extra $3 for frozen.) Cucumber marg was $14.95, but server had quoted "$10 something." Mgr says those are the prices. I respond we won't be back. Mgr brings us 3 lil (yummy) shots of rumchatta. We do not plan to go back, because very deceptive on drink pricing. $10 (plus tip) more on three drinks than led to believe. Damn shame, they just lost 3 customers because they weren't up front/menu posted on pricing.

I hadn't been back to the new location yet and decided on a whim to grab a quick dinner with my fiancé. We sat at a comfy booth in the bar and both ordered margaritas. They have an extensive margarita list and we liked both of the ones we chose. The bartender served us and was helpful and attentive. The chicken and steak fajitas for two is a good sized portion and everything tasted fresh. I absolutely loved the steak, I can't remember ever having thick cut steak in fajitas in typical Indy mexican restaurants, it was delicious. Will be back soon.

The food was okay - my burrito bowl had so much queso and liquid that it turned into a soup consistency. Our service was absolutely horrible, and it did not seem to be because they're understaffed. Our server was nowhere to be found for most of our meal, and we had to flag him down to get a drink refill after eating most of our meals without a drink. We were done eating for several minutes before we were able to get our bill. I will go back to our old faithful Los Agaves in McCordsville.

A hidden gem in plain sight... a locally family owned business with 3 locations around town. Give it a try, the food here is delicious. You can get all the typical Mexican fair here, but also dishes you don't find everywhere. I enjoyed the Chicken Enchiladas with creamy cilantro sauce and it was delicious. Served with rice and black beans. The rice was incredibly flavorful and the beans were served in a small deep fried tortilla bowl (think mini taco salad shell) and topped with some cojita cheese. Nicely done. My friend indulged in the birria tacos, which came with a side of onions, cilantro and lime as well as the wonderful dipping sauce that makes the birria what it is. We had started our meal with a small queso for our chips... small? Definitely bigger than most 'small' quesos that I have encountered over the years, but I didn't mind at all, as it was delish. I washed it all down with a giant pina colada and enjoyed every bite. Service was quick and friendly and the prices reasonable.

I typically judge a Mexican restaurant by their queso :) I'll have to admit theirs is pretty good!

Great new place on 96th right off interstate 69. I had the chicken Fajitas. They have all the usual dishes you would expect. Also have a full bar. I tried an amaretto margarita, very tasty! There's plenty of parking and nearby shopping.

I would not recommend. Honestly, we've been here before but tonight we had one of the least satisfactory experience we've ever had at any food establishment, including fast food establishments like Taco Bell. If you go- please be prepared to wait 15 minutes to be sat. On our particular visit, they sat us and took our order. The table after us sat down got steak and fajitas and got their food first. We waited OVER AN HOUR and after we asked about our food, our server blamed the kitchen and being short staffed. She seemed annoyed the entire transaction and was short and curt in her response to our table from the beginning. The thought crossed my mind that we were the only table of color but I didn't want to jump to conclusions since it seemed she was also Hispanic. Once we asked how long our food would be her immediate response was: "If you're going to wait, I'm not sure how long it'll be. I can just give you your check to leave." Since it was Father's Day, we decided to wait and after 5 more minutes we opted to leave. I went to pay and the people up front were kind and ready to check us out. The server again came up and asked we pay for everything- including food we never got, I offered to pay for our drinks and app but the other staff comped our meal. I felt bad but ultimately left. Would not recommend. As a former waitress, I understand what being busy looks like especially when the kitchen is crazy busy. But when a table's food takes longer than an hour- as a server I would advocate to the kitchen to push it through. I've never felt disrespected in the way this establishment and would 100% avoid going here.

Quaint little place with a nice atmosphere. Clean and well staffed. The food was good and the place was busy which tells me it was liked by many. I liked the selections and would go back. The portions were solid and worth the cost.

Wow!!!! Great food, yes!!! Thats just the half of it. The owner is the best!! Very personable and always make sure we enjoy our visit. If you like good tequila they have a huge selection!!! Great food, great drinks!!!!

Great fresh Mexican food with generous portions. The prices are slightly higher than other places in the area but worth it in my estimation. The energy and vibe is upbeat and servers are friendly and efficient overall I live too close to this place for my own good. lol. Highly recommend.
