We've eaten here often and the service was terrible. We had a reservation and ordered an app. The server was inattentive to remove dishes and glasses as he continued to bring out more dishes and drink refills. I had to put the glasses and plates on the floor to get the area cleared. Food was good; front of house should be paying attention more so that the quality of service matches the quality of food.

We celebrated my birthday there last night and enjoyed wonderful food and a lovely ambiance ! The waitress was wonderful and even called me when I left to remind me that I had left my scarf on the table !
Our waiter was awesome with recommending items in the menu and was always checking on us. Very professional and top tier service. My husband also got the cake on the house for his birthday, such a wonderful gesture! We love going to Sangiovese for birthday celebrations.

Highly recommend - Always great food and service. I'd recommend starting with the toasted ravioli. We've always ordered straight from the Specials menu and have never been disappointed. The cocktails are also fantastic.
While the food was good, the service was terrible. Our server was absent most of the time. When she was around, she was rushing us through dinner. It started with her asking us what appetizers we wanted before we had opened the menu. I was barely seated and was being asked what I wanted to drink. We felt very unwelcome. I should note we were dining on Sunday and business was slow/moderate. I would be hesitant to visit again. I can get food just as good at many places with better service.

Upscale Italian restaurant in Fisher…it was packed when I visited on a Friday… so might be a little wait on food but it’s total worth it… wine is from $12 up i think but taste great… I got the house wine and scallops pasta

We ALWAYS love going here and we are never disappointed! The appetizer was not hot but when the service is always amazing you can overlook some things and we count this Birthday night as another WIN for SANGIOVESE!
Food was delicious. Will is an excellent server. Very knowledgable, attentive and pleasant. Enjoyed sitting by the window. It was a little noisy but not much you can do about that. Wine was $18 on the menu but charged $20 so menu needs to be updated with correct price. We didn't say anything about it.
Service was excellent. The Caesar Salad was perfect. The heirloom salad was okay-- tomatoes were mushy and a bit mealy. My dish was the Mahi special and the fish was overcooked and was drowning in sauce. The sauce was flavorful, however. The Triple Chocolate Mousse Cake was a winner. So overall, not bad but not the best I've had there.

Visit 1/27/24I realize it was a very busy evening and when I ordered after quite a wait, I pointed to the item on the menu I wanted.What was brought to me was not what was ordered and the person who delivered never came back to check and see if all was well. Did not see them until it was time to pay.
We visited during Devour Indy and ordered from that menu. The food was delicious and a good value. Our server Antoinette was knowledgable and a lot of fun. We will definitely be back!

Parking is a nightmare, very loud atmosphere. Service is good. Appetizers were great (fried ravioli & bruschetta), but the entrees were disappointing. Definitely not worth the price we paid. Husband's chicken tasted frozen for sure!
