Good for what it is. They have added a few tables for indoor seating though I don't see us ever using it. For a quick Chinese dish when you don't want to wait too long and would rather just eat at home, it's perfect.

I will not return here. The best part was the person who took my order over the phone. The food was not seasoned well. Shrimp was “off”, and chicken was gamey, chewy, and seemed a bit raw. The Chow Mein does not have noodles at all. Chow Mein is supposed to be fried noodles (firm) and Lo Mein is tossed noodles (soft). Fried rice was 2/10. Egg roles weren’t bad but nothing to brag about. When calling to ask (6:30PM) why my chow mein had no noodles (picture attached) they mentioned I could take the item back and exchange for noodles. $13 for noodles didn’t feel like a win but I considered the offer and said I would stop in after my kids ate and before they close (9PM). They called back within 10min (7PM) asking what time I would be there. I will not return.

Service was awesome and fast, restaurant was clean but plastic dinner ware. Raw chicken. Sweet and sour tasted like straight ketchup. Egg rolls were raw and doughy inside. Was not expecting much, but really?

I came here on a Friday at 1 o’clock which is time for lunch special. Lunch special is between 11 AM and 2:00 PM. I ordered Szechuan beef and when it came out they charged me $14.50 when it says on this lunch special it’s $7.75. No other place on their menu does it offer Szechuan beef except under the lunch special. When I asked the question why it wasn’t the lunch special price she told me I had to tell her beforehand that I wanted the lunch special, even though it wasn’t on the menu, anywhere else other than under lunch special. Total rip off.

I went there at 12:30 in the afternoon and ordered Szechuan beef from the lunch menu for $7.75. When the food came out they charged me $15. I said I thought it was a lunch special and she said that I had to specify that I wanted the lunch special. Szechuan beef was not anywhere on their menu other than under the lunch special so that's the only way I could've ordered it. Regardless to say, I will never be back there again. Total rip off!

I am familiar with authentic Chinese food, and I realize most westernized Chinese food is what it is, just like so-called Tex-Mex is not what you're going to get in Chihuahua. That said, there are ways for establishments to still serve up decent fare even if it isn't all that close to the Homeland. China Cafe, on a recent visit, did not even accomplish the task of approximating decent, watered down food. I don't know what the names of the items were that we ordered for pickup exactly but it doesn't really matter, none of the four of us, including my two teenagers, enjoyed our dinner. Mainland China has roughly seven different flavor profiles, ranging from pungent to Sweet to spicy. None of those flavor profiles were present in anything we ate, and in order for our meal to fit into a Chinese flavor profile you would have to add "Greasy" because that's how everything tasted. Yes I realize that most of us Hoosiers are probably going to have to plan on a trip across the river to neighboring Louisville and be willing to part with quite a bit of $$$_ if we want more authentic tasting Chinese food, but there's no reason to serve up Chinese food that has less credentials in terms of flavor that something out of the supermarket Frozen foods section. All of my food was sort of crammed together into a to-go box and even after it was warmed up a little bit it was stiff and bland---other than the taste of Grease of course. The vegetables were hard and unremarkable. The white rice was, I suppose, passable but certainly not particularly enjoyable. The egg roll was basically a chunk of salt lick. I wish I could say something positive about this dinner but it was really an insult to anything either Chinese or American, which is quite an accomplishment I suppose. I think we'll pass next time, and head down to The Onion which is light years advanced by comparison.

I’ve eaten here many times, always delicious!

First time to order takeout. Friday afternoon. I had to throw everything away. Generals tsp chicken, special fried rice, egg rolls and miso soup. I did eat 3crab ran-goons. Everything tasted like a bottle of vegetable oil. The egg roll tasted strange. Chicken was not good... undercooked. Miso soup had gobs of tofu but zero seasoning. Again not fully cooked. It was pretty gross.

Every time I call them at 8:30-8:40 they dont pick up or complain that they have to cook food, but its a restaurant. they close @ 9 and have horrible service. I guess they have made enough money for the day and dont need anymore. food is basic, nothing amazing. I live close by but I wont go back.

This was my first time here. And I have to say, I was very very pleased. Excellent excellent flavor in all of the food. And the service was very fast. I got takeout and I ordered when I walked in the store. I'm quite picky with my Chinese food and I will definitely be coming back even though it's a bit further than other places.

Kind of bland, unless you tell them to spice it up. Biggest knock, bottle water, no glasses....
