“You absolutely HAVE to get the hummus and some falafel. They literally have the best hummus I have ever had in my life. Smooth, creamy, the taste of the chickpea and tahini…perfection! The falafel wrap is wonderful. Crunchy falafel, fresh veggies, amazing sauces and the wrap just holds everything together perfectly. Everyone who works here is super kind, lovely, and welcoming. I already can’t wait to go back!“
“Their lunch starts at 12pm (we made the mistake of going earlier and had to wait). We ordered chicken biriyani and butter chicken. They did not have parathas/nan as they were sold out in the morning. But when they saw my husband felt disappointed not to have nan (he can’t eat butter chicken without any bread), he asked the cook to make two extra Nans for him (we didn’t even know! It was extremely nice of them!).Chicken biriyani was great! We ordered medium spicy and even for me who likes spicy foods, it was SPICY spicy! So I would ask people to order mild if you don’t/can’t eat spicy foods. The portion of the biriyani was great! We could not finish all and brought some back home. The butter chicken had a bit too much sour yogurt, but with the biriyani it tasted great. The nan was amazing too! Soft and delicious. I will go back again, especially to try their breakfast menu!The guy who took our orders and served the food was a great host! He was nice and kind! The way he did a favor to us by making the nans, I really appreciate it!“

“small food cart, parked on Houston Street between Mulberry and Lafayette Streets. the cart serves Halal / Middle Eastern styled eats during the day to early night. it looks well maintained inside and out. the menu is a variety of pita style sandwiches as well as meat + rice platters. i have primarily ordered falafel over rice or chicken over rice. both have been satisfying--with the servings for each being ample. the rice is always well-seasoned. the chicken (or falafel) has been flavorful but still cooked through without being dry or chewy. there's always a small amount of "salad" packed in next to the rice as a cool palate refresher. always go with the white sauce + hot sauce for additional punch to the platter. the food is packed up neatly in bio-degradable containers. chicken over rice is $7 + tip the owner/cook is very nice and takes his time making sure your food is up to snuff. drops mic cuz these platters are platinum i out zzz“
