They had amazing eggplant parmesan the last time I was there, but unfortunately, I read their website and drove all the way there from out of town only to see a note on the door and darkened windows.

Got carryout Baked Spaghetti via Grubhub. It was very dry. There was barely any cheese on top and tomato sauce was out of balance.Would not try again.

This is a great restaurant! The pizza is incredible and the staff is attentive. It is the best pizza I have had recently, I love pizza and have eaten pizza everywhere, this the best hands down.

Great food and atmosphere. Had a date here. Didn't realize they had a live band that Friday evening so it was a pleasant surprise ? I forgot my takeout container but my fault. Parking could be better, but it's doable.

I've been her 20+ times and I think I have a good feel for what you can expect. Small, local, old, dated, glorious! Is it a dive bar? Yes Is it an old, 60's decor restaurant? Yes Is there a TV held up with a table leg? Yep Could it use a little TLC? Yes But it's more than meets the eye. If the order the right thing it's wonderful. Definitely check out the pizza, bread sticks spaghetti and the bar which serves cold generously poured delights. It's not fast but they will put an order in if you're on the way. Definitely check it out!!!

Great portion for the price. The food was good but I sauce was not what I expected. The red sauce was over powered by what I think was wine. Wine is a great way to cut the acidity in the sauce but in moderation. The meatballs were very good, I do recommend them.

Good for lunch. I had the sausage penne. I have been coming here for over 20 years. It can get busy during lunch but it quiets down if you come a luttle later in the day.. They serve lunch until 3!! No one does that!!!

The food at the Venice is and always has been delicious! For an appetizer we had breaded mushrooms and they were yummy. For main entrees we had a sausage roll and a meat lovers Italian style pizza and it was a ton of food and was fabulous! They didn't have any servers on the floor yet so the bartender waited on us. We were in the dining room and she was at the bar where she couldn't see us so the service was a little slow but she was friendly. We will be back soon!

First of all, the bartender, who also answered my phone call for the carry out order, was so friendly and nice. Her name was Joyce. Said pizza would be done in about 25 minutes, took a little longer. Cost for a large cheese was $15.64, definitely not the cheapest in Fort Wayne, but not a bank breaker either.Place was a little dingy, but it's a bar, so.Pizza review: Pretty good pizza. I asked for a large 14" cheese, done. They delivered, but not actually lol. Crust had that good crunch to it and held the pizza up, while also having good flavor. Underside was surprisingly plain, usually being this toasted they are a little dark on the bottom. Cheese tasted good, with heavy tones of toasted mozzarella. Seasoning, as seen on top of the cheese were strong, leading with basil and oregano? Sauce had a semi sweet taste up front, but mellows down into more of a classic pizza sauce flavor... could have had a touch more sauce, pizza just seemed a touch dry. Overall, Joyce, the bar, the pizza, 7.1? Good pizza, great bartender.

The average rating on Yelp is spot on. We are in town for the night and once in our hotel we didn't feel like going out so we ordered through Grubhub and didn't bother checking Yelp first. I ordered the bruschetta chicken my wife the salmon bruschetta, for an appetizer we ordered the Bruschetta bread. Visually it was amazing, taste; well I'll make a recommendation to the chef, cut the balsamic by half on everything you cook with it. It was simply overpowering, my fettuccine and my wife's were cooked perfect the chicken and salmon as well, just it all tasted like pure balsamic vinegar. Let your food speak for itself with a hint of balsamic, you are on the verge of something very good

Just got back from there w/my teenagers, one is big into food/cooking. We all loved it. Sat at 7:30 pm no wait, great service, great food. Might be one of the best unknown spots in Fort Wayne. Well worth the visit.

Wow! Was my first time visiting this restaurant and was more than pleased with the food. When looking at the building from outside I thought it was going to be another freezer to microwave Italian eatery, Boy was I wrong! Everything tasted authentic and our server Sue was great! The bartender also deserves a shout out for the old fashioned which she nailed 100%.The food was great and the portions were filling, we all had to get doggy bags.If you need good food and good drinks you can't go wrong with The Venice.

We ate lunch today at the Venice. We ordered a 11 inch sausage and pepperoni pizza. The pizza was very good. The crust was thin and the extras were plentiful. The cheese was high quality and the sauce was tasty. The staff was courteous and helpful. The place needs an up date.
